Sebastian chuckled lowly. “Dinner is ready. Come down and eat.”

Tamara nodded.

Downstairs.

Tamara saw Helena waiting for her on the couch when she came down. Helena looked shaken up. Tamara asked worriedly, “Helena? When did you arrive?”

Helena snapped toward Tamara when she heard her voice. Helena jumped up. “Tammy, the man is dead…”

“He’s dead?” Tamara was surprised. “How did he die?”

Helena told Tamara everything. Tamara grew serious as the story went on.

“It seems the person we’re dealing with is a tough one. They would even hire assassins,” stated Tamara.

Helena widened her eyes. “Assassins?”

“Yes.” Tamara took a seat on the couch. “Only an assassin could kill someone without leaving any traces behind.”

Tamara couldn’t help but think of James.

But she quickly shook the thought away. It couldn’t be James. James wasn’t that kind of man.

“What should we do now? He was our only hope.” Helena was dejected.
