Thomas didn’t even spare them a look. “Go ahead! Have fun. I’m good here. I’m not a three-year-old kid anymore.”

Margot couldn’t help but chuckle at the little boy’s quip.

Then, she turned toward Tamara. “Come on, let’s relax downstairs. It’s been a while since you’ve visited an establishment like this, hasn’t it?”

Tamara nodded. “You’re right.”

“You have no idea how many customers I’ve lost since you’ve stopped bartending here. So, what do you say? Want to bartend a little for old time’s sake?” Margot grabbed Tamara’s arm and said with a grin.

“No problem!” Tamara replied. It had been four years since she last bartended. She honestly couldn’t be sure if her skills had dwindled or not.

At the bar downstairs, the lights were dim but still colorful. It wasn’t peak hour yet, so there weren’t a lot of people around. However, most of the booths were filled with people.

Margot took a seat at the bar counter. Tamara went to get behind it and started to prep the tools she needed to star
