Sebastian swept his gaze over the men groaning in pain on the ground. Then, he turned toward Tamara and was met with the woman’s crystal clear eyes and sly smile. He stopped breathing for a second.

“Why aren’t you speaking?”

Tamara stared at him for a long moment, then walked up to him. She stopped a few feet away from the man.

“Young Mr. Custry, are you really mute?”

Sebastian remained silent.

He did not dare to speak.

Tamara’s smile widened even more. She suddenly reached out, planning to take off the man’s mask. However, before she could do so, the man had clasped onto her slender wrists.

Tamara was taken aback. She struggled to get her hand out. “Young Mr. Custry, what are you doing?”

Sebastian loosened his grip on her, then spun on his heel and headed toward 1999.
