It was a dead rat!

Tamara had a flashback to the gutted dead rat she saw back then. It was so bloody that she couldn’t help but stumble backward.

“Haha! It’s just a dead rat. What are you afraid of?” Jocelyn laughed unkindly. She even dangled the dead rat in front of Tamara.

Tamara felt her stomach turn. She slapped a hand over her mouth and rushed to the washroom.

Staring at Tamara’s retreating figure, the same sinister smile appeared on Jocelyn’s face. She knitted her brows in disgust at the rat before tossing it aside.

“Dirty fellow,” she thought.

Tamara was still recovering when she saw Jocelyn entering the living room. She stared coldly at Jocelyn. “Do you know something, Jocelyn?”

Jocelyn quirked a brow. “What are you talking about?”

Tamara carefully observed Jocelyn’s expression. She didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Was she overthinking it?
