"Ms. Zimmerman," came Victoria's voice.

Margot looked over, and her smile faded. "Mrs. Inkling."

Victoria smiled gracefully. "Are you here to see Benjamin? Isn't he at the company?"

"I came to see Grandpa Shane."

Victoria immediately gave a sad smile. "I'm afraid that won't be possible. Grandpa has been weak and bedridden, and he has expressed his desire not to be disturbed. I'm afraid you won't be able to go in."

Margot quirked an eyebrow. "Is Grandpa Shane the one who doesn't want me to go in or is it you?"

Victoria smiled elegantly. "Does it make a difference?"

Margot wasn't the least bit angry. Instead, she approached her and stared at Victoria. "Indeed, it doesn't make a difference. But if you don't let me in, some of Lance's secrets might be exposed."

Victoria's smile faded. "What do you mean?"

Margot stood up straight. "You know what I mean, Mrs. Inkling. I know far more than you think."
