Camilla choked. Tears streamed down her face as she begged Jayden not to leave her.

Jayden reached out and gently wiped the tears from her face. He sighed. "Sweetheart, we're not meant to be. Isn't it better for us to part ways now?"

"No, no ..." Camilla sobbed. "The relationship wouldn't have started if it weren't meant to be. We wouldn't have gotten married. Jayden, we lost a child because of your decision. I want you to give me another one. So you absolutely cannot die!"

Her words amused Jayden, and he couldn't bear to see her cry any longer. He comforted her softly, "Alright, I won't die."

"You can't lie again." Camilla's voice trembled. She looked like a spoiled child right now.

It was a side Jayden had never seen before.

He wanted to let her go.
