I sat in the interrogation room, rolling the necklace in my hand as I stared intently at it, wondering where I had seen it.

I wonder why everything looks so familiar; the birthmark, the scent of that stranger, and the necklace in my hand.

The door opened, and the interrogator walked in with Mariano trailing behind him, his wrists clenched together in handcuffs.

“You brat!" Mariano snapped and I craned my neck, glaring murderously at him.

“Brat?" I scoffed, narrowing my eyes at him.

“You filed a complaint against me and had me arrested?" He growled, shaking his handcuffed wrist at me.

"You tried to kill me, didn't you? You sent an assassin to take my life yesterday,” I muttered and he scoffed, shaking his head as a large grin covered his face.

“Why will I waste my time on that? I have better things to do!"

“I think the best accomplishment of your life is to see me lying dead in a coffin," I replied.
