Chapter 073 Game of cards

A long stretch of silence followed my request.

“You still owe me for saving your life the other day,” he quipped making me crinkle my nose in annoyance.

“Are you helping me or not?” I snapped.

I wonder what I’m doing with him again. Shouldn’t I be avoiding him?

But instead of pushing him away, I’m giving him a reason to pull closer to me. It is not my fault; I blame scumbags like Melinda, who keeps getting into my path.

“Let’s meet at the midnight Café,” he replied and I scoffed.

“Is this some date or something?” I spat venomously.

“You said you need my help right? I’m trying to offer that,” he replied.

“Can we meet before 9 pm?” I asked.

I heard a humming sound before his response broke out.

“Yes, seven will be convenient for the both of us, right?”

“Yes,” I replied bluntly and ended the call.

I tapped my message box and scrolled through it for a random pop-up message but found none.

“Why hasn’t he sent the address yet?” I muttered as I walked into the car.
