Carmen took a step forward as she clutched her fist. She had fear in her eyes when she saw how enrage her mother seemed.

"This is not good." Carmen mumbled to herself.

Liam bore no emotions on his face when Carmen gazed at him, and it had her wondering about the thoughts that were occupying his mind.

“Hello, mother.” Carmen straightforwardly said when she reached Mrs. Smith.

Even though Carmen was striving her best to look calm, her heart violently pounded in her chest whenever she stared at her mother's eyes.

“Spare me the greeting!” Mrs. Smith shouted.

Liam tried to keep his expression gentle. But he felt furious on the inside, and he was using every bit of his energy to restrain his anger.

"Well, this is not a decent area for such a discussion. So why don't we move to my office?" Liam calmly stated.
