After slowly reopening her eyes, her sight rested on the male watch, laying on the bed stand.
“We slept together.” Carmen happily mumbled.
At that moment her phone rang. So she reached for it, then the smile on her lips slowly faded when she saw “mom” blinking on her screen.
Carmen reluctantly swiped the answer icon. Then she rested the phone against her ear.
“What is it?” Carmen asked while striving her best not to end the call that instant.
“I raised you to know better than to answer me in such a manner.” Mrs. Smith's angry voice flowed out of the phone speaker.
“Good morning, mother.”
“Much better.”
