2024-10-29 19:42:56All of Carmen's anxieties came tumbling back as she looked at Dax with fear in her eyes, and even though his face bore no expression, he felt his spirit sink while staring back at her.
The smile on Doctor Ben's lips slowly faded when he realized that he was the only one in the room excited about the news.
Then he slightly coughed to clear his throat and said, “Also, the reason you fainted was because of a poor diet and stress.”
“Can you excuse us?” Dax asked without staring at Ben.
“Yeah… Sure.”
“Oh! And this news shouldn't leave this room, or else this hospital may end up with a lawsuit. Am I clear?”
“Crystal.”
Filled with fear, Dr. Ben hastily left the room, leaving Dax and Carmen in an awkward atmosphere.
“I want a DNA test,” Carmen mumbled as she stared away from Dax.
With both of them in an emotional state, it got awfully quiet for a while. Then Dax rested back in his chair and covered his face with his hands before sighing
