CHAPTER 04

CHAPTER 4

The course of the week went by in a blink. Kaiden and I kept out distance from each other even tho it was really hard to avoid him since he was my actually roommate and we shared a room together. The only time we would bump into each other would be when we decide to use the shower. I wouldn't say things were awkward but we soon just forgot that the other person was in this room. Every time I see him in the room or the hallway he just stares and then walk away. I wished he would at least tell me why he hates me so much.

Now it was Saturday, the day I would be going on my first date with Atlas. I was a nervous wreck because one I have never been on a date and two I never had a boyfriend. I did have my first kiss though but it was a stolen kiss, a kiss I will never forget no matter how much I want to forget.

It's already five thirty, Atlas said that he will pick me up at 6. I quickly try to touch up on  my makeup with a smoky look for my eyes that brings out my big hazel eyes and I applied my favorite red color lipstick. I'm using a red mid thigh dress and a pair of red heels. That dress fits perfectly to my curves. It looks decent but also really sexy.

I stand infront of my mirror as I take myself in. In the past year alot as changed with my appearance, I had an eating disorder 2 years ago and last year I decided that I need to look out for myself and love the way I am because if I don't appreciate my body no one will. So I started eating more, exercising regularly and doing things that keeps my mind at ease.

The room door opened and kaiden walked in looking handsome as always, when he saw me and his eyes widened as he checked me out, I watched through the mirror how his apple bottoms moved everytime he swallowed, his eyes darkened with lust as his eyes landed on my bare legs.

A knock on the door brought us back to reality, kaiden looked at the door and then at me with a frown on his face, he turned towards his bed and fell face down with a groan. I walked to the door and opened it revealing Atlas with a bunch of white Lillies in his hand. He had a plain dark black jeans with a polo shirt and his favorite leather jacket. He had a huge boyish grin on his face. I took the flowers from his hands and stood on my tip toes to place a kiss on his cheek.

"these are beautiful, thank you" I say as I leave the flowers on my table. I turned to look at kaiden who is now sitting on his bed with a cigarette between his lips staring at me and at the flowers.

"You look nice Atlas" I say as I walk towards him.

" you are looking really beautiful tonight Angel face" he says and I blush, he chuckles as he looks behind me and frown. I turn around saw Kaiden standing right behind me glaring at Atlas. Atlas cleared his throat as he gave kaiden a nod "hey man" he says but kaiden just glares at him. I roll my eyes at kaiden's stubbornness as I look back at atlas "can we leave please" I say and he nods his head.

I wrap my fingers around his hand "I'm sorry for my rommaters behavior" I apologize and he just chuckles "it's okay angel face, I just want to enjoy this night with you" he says and I smile.

"Atlas! This place is so beautiful!" I said in awe, the place Atlas took me was extremely beautiful and extravagant. Thank the lord that I actually dressed up for this place. Atlas jumped out of his car and quickly walked over to the passenger side and opened the door for me like a gentlemen.

"not as beautiful as you" he said smirking.

"Cheesy much" I laughed.

"speaking of cheese let's order I'm starving" he said while laughing.

We ended up sitting in a booth far away from other people. I was still stunned by how beautiful this place was. Atlas didn't even seem stunned like how I was but then again Atlas's parents owns mining companies so he probably have been to the best of the best places.

While we was waiting to order a beautiful waitress around my age came to take our orders, as soon as her eyes met a atlas she froze in shock as she let go of the tiny notepad she was holding. 

"Atlas" she whispered still staring at my date. Recognition flooded his eyes as he stares at her awe and also something else. Admiration. They both seem to know each other since they both were still too shock to speak and they probably forgot I was even sitting here.

I took that advantage and looked at the waitress properly. She was 5ft something, dark black hair that was curled up and put into a messy bun, she wore these really short clothes that hardly covered anything but it did bring out her curves and figure. She was almost fit to be a model.

I cleared my throat as I felt a but awkward with them both just staring at each other. The waitress was first to break the staring match as she turnes to look at me with a small smile on her face. I quickly told her my order and looked up at atlas to find him still staring at the waitress. "Atlas?" I called and he jumped a little in shock as he looked at me with an apology look.

He quickly gave his order to that waitress. She didn't say a word and left to prepare our meal.

While waiting for our food to come Atlas and I played 20 questions. I found out that Atlas family is extremely rich and they own 5 different mining companies and that we was studying business so he can take after his dad. I could tell he had a good relationship with his parents since he spoke alot of positive things about them. Throughout the entire conversation I had a grin on my face.

After our food came, we both ate in silence and soon after I was done I  excused myself to go to the ladies room.

When I came out of the ladies what I saw in front of left me in utter shock and confusion.

In front of me was that waitress and she was sitting on Atlas lap while she was sucking his face like there's no tomorrow. I watched how he kissed her back so gently and passionate. I felt tears stream down my cheeks as I watch them kiss like there's no tomorrow.

I heard rumors about Atlas being a player but I didn't believe any of that until now. I couldn't watch anymore of this so I walked out of the restaurant and called an Uber to take me back to the dorm. I shouldn't have trusted him. I shouldn't have said yes to this date.

By the time I reached the dorm I was almost a wreck, my make was probably smudged dude to my tears, my eyes were probably red and swollen. When I reached my room door I opened it wide and walked in not before slamming the door behind me.

I heard footsteps coming from the bathroom and I knew who it was. He stood in front of me in just a towel wrapped around his waist and his hair dripping wet.

"You back early , how was your precious date" he says as he walks pass me towards his closet.

He turned around after putting on some sweatpants noticing I didn't reply to his question, I was too busy lost in my thoughts that I didn't realised he walked closer towards me.

"hey what's wrong? Why are you crying? Did that son of a-" before he could finish his sentence I wrapped my arms around him as I started crying all over again.

At first he was shocked and then he wrapped his arms gently around me as I buried my face into neck.

" did he hurt you Saskia" he whispers and I shake my head unable to form any words.

" Hey Hazel it's gonna be okay, please don't cry. You dont have to waste your tears on someone who's not even worth it. You know how much I hate seeing you cry" he said in a soft voice which makes my heart melt. I look up at him as I was I wipe the tears from my cheeks. He gives me a sincere look. I take a deep breath in and out before I tell him everything that happened.

" if I see that asshole anywhere near you I swear to god I will beat him so much that even his own mother won't recognise him" he said with anger in his voice, I give him a small smile because I realised that no matter how much he hates me, a part of him still cares for me.

" thank you kaiden" I whispered with a small smile on my face which he return with a genuine smile.

"So do you want to watch a movie?" He says as he look towards the laptop l laying open on his bed. Deep down I knew he was doing this because I was upset, the old kaiden used to do the exact the same thing when I used to get upset.

" what movie do you wanna watch?" I askes as I walked towards his bed and laid down on it

"Well let's watch some Disney movies" He whispers in my ear as he sat down in my next next to me .

When Kaiden and I were kids every Saturday nights used to be Disney movie night and today is Saturday which means he actually remembers.

"you remember our Saturday Disney movie night" I say as he puts Aladdin on the laptop for us to watch.

"yes I do remember Hazel now can you please stop talking and watch the movie" he said and my breathe catches my throat. Hazel. He called me Hazel. His favorite nickname for me. When I sued to ask him why that name was his favorite, he used to say that it was the colour of my eyes and it was his favorite color. I smiled as I looked at his relaxed posture

" Okay fine jerk" I chuckled as I mad emtself comfortable on his bed.

The movie just ended and I was feeling so exhausted from all the drama I had been through these couple of days  I was too lazy to move from his bed to Mines that I decided this one night I can sleep near my best friend.

I put my head on Kaiden shoulder . "Goodnight Kade" I said in my sleepy voice as I yawned.

"goodnight Hazel" he whispers as his lips made contact on my forehead and with that I let the sleep take over me.
