Sylvia's P. O. V

" He is the match?" I asked the doctor and he nodded, still talking.

" Now I suggest we get started with the preparations...." I cut him off, still staring at Alex.

" Why?" I forced out, my voice breaking. " Why does it have to be you? "

The doctor seemed confused." Is there a problem Miss Torres?" He asked and I glanced at him.

" Of course! There is a problem!"

" Come on Sylvia... I'm just donating. It's nothing serious."

" Of course it is... " I cried out, tears slipping out my eyes." You're the one donating. It's you!" I breathed out, cleaning the tears off my face. " I'm sorry but... I can't let you do this. We have to find another donor."

" What!?" Alex and the doctor gasped in unison. I wearily shook my head.

" I can't let you, Alex... You've done so much for me." I muttered and he walked closer to me, holding me by the shoulders.

" But Sylvia... It's your mom we're talking about!" He said and I glanced up at him
