After I helped Alessia into her bed, I went to my father's office. The second I entered, he, Andrey and my mother were chatting quietly but when they saw me enter they stopped. "It took you a while." My father commented as I took a seat in front of his desk.
"I was helping a very injured Alessia to her room," I informed him, before he could speak again I spoke. "Can we skip the unnecessary conversation? Just tell me what was stolen that was so valuable that you want to call a meeting with all the mafias, a day before the annual ball too." My father spared my mother a nervous glance before he met my eyes, worry hidden deep beneath his usually stoic face.
