Hours had passed since dinner even though Maria obviously wanted to speak to me earlier, for some reason she chose to put it off.
I was curious as to why, but I decided not to question it as my mind's focus now shifted to the kiss Amanda and Alessandro shared which had been bugging me all night.
I knew it shouldn't have bothered me because he already explained their arrangement, but I couldn't help the anger and jealousy that rose in my chest.
