Luciana's Pov
I hung my head low, avoiding his intense gaze that kept piercing through my skin.A cold smirk appeared on his face as he made his way to.his seat. He didn't care about kneeling before the alpha king for his blessings, nor did the alpha king question him for doing so.
“I call in the fourth and fifth alpha prince!. Alpha Drystan and Draven Astorath!”.I stood on my feet nervously, feeling the intense urge to micturate because i couldn't hold it anymore,I had to.let it out. Grandma gave me a wary look but didn't bother to ask why I was on my feet.
I refused to ask her for help,I will find the restroom myself without seeking anyone's help,I don't trust anyone!.I exhaled sharply before walking out from there, grandma must have signaled three guards to follow suit which they did. I walked aimlessly to the hallway with all eyes fixed on me, everyone's dress was screaming beauty and elegance,this wasn't a place for me,I shouldn't be here.
I knocked on a door which looked like a restroom,though there was no tag on it.There was no response so I decided to push the door open. It wasn't a restroom but a room that was filled with girls dancing widely with their partners. I stepped back immediately, putting myself in a mess is what I didn't plan for!.
“What do you want?”. One of the guards that was assigned to me asks,his voice cold and brave.
“I want to use the restroom”. I replied nonchalantly,with my back turned on them.
“This way”. He said, outstretching. I trailed behind him, monitoring my steps to avoid being set up, like I mentioned earlier I trust no one!. Few minutes later we halted at a door,with “restroom” tagged on it. I sighed in relief as I quickly dashed in without a second thought,I was out in a jiffy.
We headed back to the hall quietly,with my head hung low.
“I heard a dark crescent pack would be giving her to Prince Godrick!”.
“I pity the poor omega,he will devour her tonight!!”.
“Devoured or not! .She deserves to be devoured. She's just a worthless omega that has no future or past!”. I recognized the voice that spoke last,I quickly turned around to see Celia with her friends giving me a scrutinizing gaze. Everyone is aware that I would be handed to the Godrick tonight.
“Don't you dare give us that look you mutt!!!”. One of the girls yelled as she aimed a ceramic cup at me. One of the guards was fast enough to stand as a shield,the cup shattered the moment it landed on his body.
“STOP!!”.He groaned, sending shivers down everyone's eyes. The girls smirk, without saying a word they walked out of there. I didn't apologize to the guard who was hit for my sake,he was doing his job,he would literally be punished if I had a scratch on my face.
We walked back to the hall,but everywhere was in chaos,Godrick Astorath gripped Sinclair's throat, throwing fists on him menacingly. No one dared to stop him, everyone was watching him as if he's some kind of entertainment.
I looked at grandma apprehensively,her chest was rising and falling, making me wonder what's going on in her mind at the moment. Someone needs to stop him, he's throwing Sinclair up in the room as if he's kind of basketball!.
“Sinclair!!!!”. I screamed from my end, drawing everyone's attention, Godrick freed his grip on his neck, making him.to land hard on the floor. His nose was bleeding,he placed both hands on the floor to support his weak body,his breathing was shallow it's obvious there was no single energy left in him.A wicked grin appeared on Godrick's face as he stepped on his fingers with his boots,I shut my eyes immediately covering my mouth with both hands.
“Ahhhhhh!!!!”. Sinclair groaned,his voice echoed through the walls.
*Godrick Astorath!!!!. Enough of that nonsense!!!!”. A voice screeched, causing everyone to shudder internally. I fly my eyes open to see Alpha king Magnus Astorath,on his feet warning his son sternly with his eyes.
“You won't tell me what to do father,I will end him here and now!!”. He replied,his voice devoid of emotions. He raised Sinclair's chin defiantly to look at him,he was about giving him a lung breaking feast when Grandma shouted,his hand hung in the mid air.
“Stop, Astorath. I plead you forgive my grandson,I will give you what I had brought for you. Just as we promised and agreed. Huh?”. Grandma asks in a soft voice and placating smile, intending to tame his anger. Astorath rolled his eyes on Kingsley before giving him a kick in the waist, which shoved him to the other end. The guards rushed him immediately and took him from there, probably to the physician because he's severely injured!.
He must have done bad before now,but deep down I want him to be free from the pains Godrick has inflicted on him, no one deserves to die,but I'm yet to know my date tonight.
I know it's my turn to be dished out, Grandma had brought me for him,as his food. He roared before sitting on his golden seat,his gaze still fixed on grandma. I drifted back and groaned in psi when my back hit on a masculine body,one of the guards was behind me!. Mutts!. I swallowed hard and stepped forward,with my heart beating wildly against my ribcage.
“This is my gift for you”. Grandma said, dragging me to her side,tears brimmed as my heart pounds violently.
“Bring her”. He replied,his voice cold and distant. I looked at grandma sharply,who bowed her head slightly with a smile on her face.
“Grandma…. please…..”. I sobbed,but she held my hands,her eyes boring into mine “Be a good girl Ciana,,,,,I know you'll survive”. She freed her hand from mine, signaled the guard to drag me to Godrick,I stood before him with eyes trailed me from head to toes.
“Please let me go”. I pleaded with a quivering voice, barely above a whisper. He didn't say a word, rather he flicked a finger dismissing everyone.I couldn't think straight, neither could I step an inch,I served as an exchange for something I didn't know of. Tears brimmed my eyes which later tickled down my cheeks,my eyes hurt from crying,I couldn't help it.
“I will thank everyone for honoring my invite. I want to let you all know that I would be handing the throne to one of my sons……who would be eligible for it!”. I guessed it wasn't a good news to them,as everyone looks at themselves in confusion,with a look of disagreement. The alpha king clears his throat, everywhere went silent.
“There would be a tournament,the winner of the tournament will be crowned the alpha king,to test your abilities,you must be able to pass through fire”. He said, looking at his sons.
“I guess this isn't fair father…..We all know who the strongest is!!”. The first son said, pointing out his own view.
“To be a participant of this tournament,you must have a mate or a Luna!. You can't rule the people without having someone by your side!!”. The alpha king announced, everyone looked at Godrick, whose gaze was deadly and cold.He's the only one that won't participate in the tournament,he doesn't have a mate,the pack members and alphas would be more thrilled, nobody wants a cold heated leader.
“Godrick won't be a participant of this tournament!”. Clinton said, everyone howled in happiness and joy hearing that.
“I will participate”. He snarled, frowning seriously. The noise died immediately,the alpha king looked at him sharply,the smile that had appeared on his brother's mate's disappeared,replaced with a curious look.
“You won't force yourself son,you aren't eligible to participate”. The father said,in an understanding tone.
With a mischievous smile on his face,he looked at me and said “I will make her my Luna!!!”
