Chapter One hundred and eighty nine

ALARIC’s POV….

As I ran, my strength failing, I placed my hand to my chest. I was tired, very tired, I had to admit, but I had to find Amelia. My mind could never be at peace knowing that she had run off with a monster without being able to control her powers just yet.

Where on earth Alexander had gone, I didn’t know, but whatever was wrong with that man, I would deal with it later. What mattered now was finding Amelia.

I turned, and just as I did, I saw a route that led to the edge of a cliff. I didn’t know why, but I just had the feeling that she would be somewhere around there.

I rushed towards that place and as I rushed towards there, I started to hear screams.

Hearing a voice after running for so long made me increase my pace and getting there, my jaw dropped, my heart sinking into my stomach at the sight of Amelia’s hand in fire, all because she wanted to finish a different monster off.

“Amelia!” I screamed as I staggered.
