I opened my eyes when the door behind me suddenly opened. Footsteps echoed inside the room, approaching the bed slowly.

Based on the scent, it's Damon and breakfast.

He placed the plates on the center table without a word. I didn't move an inch, waiting for him to be gone. But I heard him sighing as the couch created a sound.
