Even though my heart was pounding frantically because basically, Damon's security minions gathered around outside my unit and the building, I still mustered up my courage to question him.

“Is there something wrong at home?”

He sighs deeply. “Just come home with me.” He turned his back on me.

“No. I'm old enough to go back home by myself or not.”

He stopped in his trance, causing me to swallow the lump in my throat. Am I too brave and went overboard in disobeying his words?

“Take her.”

My eyes went wide when his men in black held both my arms and lifted me in the air.

“No!” I kicked in the air while we made our way to the elevator.

He's now forcing me to leave my place!

I caught a glance of Damon's men, standing at the corner, watching us as if we were making a scene in a movie. Are they just going to stand there and watch?

“Hey! Help me, please!”

“Don't do anything reckless.”
