Am I supposed to be scared now, Jeanne asked Sharon.

I don't know, she answered.

But she sounded like a chicken just now, Jeanne said with a chuckle.

Really??, She answered with a light smile

Yeah, she was like stay away from Michael, he's mine only, she said mimicking Samantha, and that little puppy that follows her every time.

Just be careful okay, Sharon chipped in with serious face.

Okay mum, she said with a silly smile.

Silly girl, Sharon said with a chuckle.

They talked about random things as they walk towards the locker space to take the necessary things for the next class, obviously they are done with lunch already.

Hi pretty, Jeanne heard Michelle's voice. She's with Michael and Richmond.

Oh it's Michelle, Sharon whispered.

I know, she replied with a whisper. 

Hi Michelle she said with an awkward smile.

She look up to see Michael also staring at her. Hi Michael, thanks for the other time.

Other time??, Richmond asked 

Yeah, he followed me to the principal's office, wait why am I telling you this, Jeanne said.

That's odd, why are you telling me, Richmond said with a raised brow while others just watched them. 

Do I even know you, he continued.

Neither do i, Jeanne said rolling her eye.

Oh, hi Sharon, he said ignoring her.

You know my name, Sharon asked clearly surprised.

Yeah, Sharon Blakes.

Michelle, if you don't mind we would like to take our leave now, Jeanne said glaring hard at Richmond.

Bye Michelle, bye Michael, she said before dragging Sharon to the class.

Bye, Michelle said with a smile

She seems brave, I mean the first girl to go against Samantha except us, Richmond said clearly amazed.

I know right ? Michelle said having her usual sly smile hanging on her lips.

Earlier, Richmond really seems friendly Sharon said.

They are in the class waiting for the next teacher.

Yeah, but I thought you said he's a bully, Jeanne said.

I have seen him bully students, I didn't know he was that jovial.

But he's super annoying, Jeanne said rolling her eye.

You can say that again plus he's handsome, Sharon said grinning.

Wait, you like him? Jeanne asked her with a silly smile.

I didn't say that.

Whoo, don't tell me you like him, Jeanne said but Sharon was not able to answer because the teacher entered immediately.

Wrong timing, Jeanne grumbled.

Lazy ass, Sharon replied with a chuckle......

As the class went on, Jeanne could feel a gaze on her, like she's been watched. She looked back to see Michelle smiling at her and Samantha glaring hard at her. She rolled her eyes at Samantha before facing the front to listen to what the teacher is teaching.

Jeanne and her father could be seen on the eating silently, only the sound of their cutleries hitting the plate could be heard.

So how was school today, Mr salva said after gulping down a little amount of water.

It was fine, she answered. Funny enough, people I never expected wants to make friends.

I guess they can see that my beautiful daughter has a good heart, he said with a smile.

Yeah, I have a good heart, but there is this rich spoilt brat that think of me as a competitor.

Really?? Tell about her then.

Jeanne explained how Samantha threatened her because of Michael and how she kept on glaring at her in class. 

Just ignore her okay and be careful, he said.

So are you into this guy, he said with a silly smile.

Dad!!!!... This is just my second day.

Common baby, it could be love at first sight.

What!!!.... she yelled.

Tell me, back then in Toppas high, do you have a boyfriend. She didn't answer him but she was blushing really hard.

So you really had, he said teasingly.

Dad!!......It was just a crush okay and why are we even talking about this. I will just pack the plates and do the dishes, she said as she stood up to pack the plates before rushing to the kitchen.

I love you baby, he shouted before resuming his laughter.

I love you too dad, she yelled. 

Mr Salva entered the kitchen some minutes later and met Jeanne still doing the dishes.

Is there anything I can help you with, he asked.

No dad, am almost done, she answered.

Okay,, am done, she said cleaning her hand with a clean napkin.

Baby can you come over to my office after your school tommorow, I just want you to know where am working and show you around, he said.

Yes dad, I would love to, she said squealing happily.

Okay,, time to sleep, good night honey.

Good night dad, she said. He gave a quick peck on her forehead before proceeding to his room
