The Discoveries

Wahid has been in Jayda Rabia for three days now and true to his initial assumption he would not be able to rest even for a second. Looking at all the legal documents in his possession, he didn’t know where to start from.

The copies of the original wills, affidavits, and witness signed documents felt as heavy as wet clay soil in his hand. Wahid was Humeyra’s legal advisors and head of legal dealings in all of her ventures.

The call he had declined in the presence of Farhana was from one of his junior advocates who handled legal issues that had no major impact. What he had in his hands, however, felt like a time bomb that would cause havoc once it fell in the wrong hands.

He momentarily ignored the papers lying on his desk and went to stand by the widow. Looking outside the transparent glass of the window, he watched the rain fall gently from the heavens greeting the earth that welcomed its cooling effect.
