The Ambush

The room that was once clean enough to be used as a huge plate was now in shambles. Debris of rocks scattered everywhere as dust filled the once pure air and polluted it.

Near the humongous window, laid a man with no signs of breathing. Blood flowed out of the open wound at the back of his head. His once debonair crispy suit was now half torn. The parts that were not torn were full of dirt .

If one could get closer , one could smell charred clothes from the still body on the cold floor.

The surprising and weird thing about the whole situation, however, was that the door was still intact. A few minutes passed when peace and an eerie silence fell over the ruined room.

Heavy footsteps could be heard coming towards the room. From the sound emitted by the steps, one could easily deduce that the people approaching were many.
