ALEXIS FORM

 Getting to Alpha Stephen was the only thing on Hulbert's mind as he walked through the lonely path. 

“Well, the highest he can do is shout, this mishap is not really my fault,” he grumbled as he sighted the den.

“What is this thing I hear about a mate, Hulbert?” Alpha Stephen asked, not even bothering to exchange pleasantries.

“I was quite astonished myself. She didn't even have a wolf. We never saw coming,” Hulbert responded.

“I did not make you my right-hand man to be displeased, Hulbert. Or a fucking mishap like this to happen,” Alpha Stephen retorted, baring his teeth that had flesh stuck from the chunk of raw steak he was eating.

“I'm sorry. I will rectify the issue as soon as possible. Right now, she's at the Supreme Alpha's den. We will strike during the next banquet, right before the next full moon.” He promised as his heart was pounding fast in his chest. He has never seen Stephen so upset before. 

“You should have killed her with her family then. I hate having hinders in my plans. If things should run haywire, be ready to have your head on a platter. I will kill you before the Supreme Alpha finds you. I hope you didn't forget that?” Stephen threatened with furrowed brows, and Hulbert nodded. 

Alpha Hulbert blanched. He knew he could not afford to go against Alpha Stephen. If not for him, he won't have become an Alpha. Stephen would always be his master for life. 

“I promise you that things will progress smoothly. Now, if you may excuse me, I have to take my leave to take care of an urgent matter in my pack.” Alpha Stephen waved him off, telling him he was dismissed.

Just as Hulbert turned to take his leave, he saw Ralph at the entrance. “I thought we were done talking, Ralph?”

“Have you forgotten I too know here and can come anytime? Well, if you must know, I'm here to see Alpha Stephen.” Ralph answered with a mischievous smirk. 

“Did you all plan to disrupt my meal today?” Alpha Stephen grunted, taking another chunk of meat into his mouth.

“We need to kill that bitch, not just the bitch. I think you need to get close to Derek.” It slipped out almost immediately. 

“What do you mean?” Stephen’s interest was piqued, and he turned his full attention to Ralph.

“It's better to strike in proximity. Get close to him and gain his trust then you can look for his weakness and end him and Carly once and forever” Lord Ralph was hoping Alpha Stephen would like his advice, he wanted to climb to a higher rank once Stephen finally takes charge.

“Well, you have a fair point. But that's where Hulbert comes in, apart from this lapse, he's doing okay.” Alpha Stephen turned to Hulbert who had stayed to hear what Ralph had in mind to say.

“Let's meet another time. This meeting is dismissed” Alpha Stephen said, taking his leave and strutting towards his harem.

“My ladies, I can see you all are ready and prepared for me” he smirked and gave an evil grin before walking towards the bed and yanking the closest she-wolf to him.

“Now, please me like your life depends on it” he said then pressed his lips to hers.

“Whatever you are planning, you better not cross my part. If you want his attention, work on your own lane and stick there. Do your jobs right and not to go, already, looking for others mate to sleep with.” Hulbert said with so much disgust, then walked out, leaving Ralph alone to his thoughts. 

Carly was woken up by the noise on her door.

Turning towards the door, she saw they shuffled her food through the space on the door. She crawled towards the food and observed it.

It was stale bread and water. “I need food to survive” she mumbled to herself and reached for the small crusty bread.

She quickly shuffled the bread into her mouth, and gulped down her water.

“Slow down, Carly, I won't be surprised if you choke. The food is not going anywhere.” Alexis commented. 

“Well Alexis, Hello to you too. We have work to do today” Carly replied her wolf. 

“Wait, what? What kind of work are you talking about? It seems someone is getting back.” Alexis whined.

“Training, baby, we have to train.” Carly answered. 

She quickly washed her face with the remaining water and then stood up, jogging and warming herself for the pain that is yet to come.

“Alexis, baby, it's just you and me. We can't trust anyone else. I need to master the act of shifting in case of any emergency.” Carly muttered in a tiny tone. 

“I understand. We will have to bear the pain, you know. We can't scream, no matter the agony” Alexis warned.

“I'm immune to pain, let's start” Carly replied bravely, “besides, after all I passed through in the hands of Zoya, Derek and the incident in the well, this could not be that bad”

“Expect more, Carly” and with that Alexis took over.

The pain was so intense that Carly couldn't help but scream.

“We can't alert the guards, Carly.” Alexis warned.

With that, Carly clamped her mouth shut and shoved a piece of cloth into her mouth.

The pain felt like all the bones in her body were being broken and restructured. After what felt like forever, Alexis took control and the pain subsided a bit.

“I need to see you, Alexis” and with that Alexis walked to a little piece of mirror that was placed on the wardrobe.

The reflection that stared back at Carly was a fluffy snow-white wolf. “You're the prettiest thing to ever exist, Alexis.” Carly said with pure admiration.

“That will make two of us.” Alexis purred back, making Carly giggle.

They both stared at the mirror, basking in the beauty that stared back at them. Alexis was regal and everything about her screamed royalty. Every inch of her was snow-white and her ears were perked and pointed, she was quite big for a female wolf and her furs were so thick and lush that anyone who pats her there will never want to take their hands off.

“Showtime is over, we have to shift back,” Carly said, breaking the silence.

She shifted back again to her human form, but this time the pain was a little less intense.

“So, what do we do now?” Alexis asked, a little sad that the fun was already over.

“We shift back, we'll continue this until my body decides. I need to rest for now” Carly replied. 

“Yes!” Alexis was delighted, and the bone breaking began again.

This time she was well-prepared and stuffed her clothes into her mouth to prevent her screams from being heard, “I can only settle for screaming in my head, this sucks” She groaned.

Her wolf form appeared this time, and she strutted round the room, trying to get used to running around “I'm sorry we can't run in the open, I know it's what you want” Carly apologized, feeling bad that she could not be better for Alexis.

“It's fine Carly, I believe that one day we will be able to run in the wild and howl as we want. Don't feel bad, this situation is not your fault in any way, it's not your fault that Derek is a dickhead.” Alexis consoled her.

Carly laughed at her last statement “Well I did annoy him to make him lock us up like this” even as she said that, she knew that even if she was mellow and calm, Derek would have still treated her in the same cruel manner. After all, he ordered the death of her father. 

She shifted back and stared at her human form in the mirror, she looked haggard and her once porcelain skin had bruises.

“You will pay for this, Derek. I swear on my father's blood” she said while running her index finger down the scar on her face, where Derek had used his claws on her. The injury had healed because she shifted, but the scar was still there, and it was yet to fade.

Her mind went down memory lane.

Her dad brought her along on several occasions, and she would play in the garden while they were busy discussing the affairs of the pack.

“He once brought me treats and offered to take me to our annual festival next year. Why did he have to change? Perhaps I offended the moon goddess unknowingly, that she had to make me the mate of my father's murderer.” Just as Alexis was about to reply to her, there was a noise at the door, someone was trying to come in.

She quickly put on her clothes and sat on the bed.

Soon the door opened, and two maids barged in. They had wash clothes on their hands, and they gave her a look of disdain.

“You are to come along,” the taller maid told her. Then, two guards moved forward and held her on both sides.

They got to a room that looked nicer than the former one. The guards shuffled her inside and locked the door after the maids came in. Everything was so frustrating. Taking her from one room to another. 

They led her to a bathroom that had a bathtub large enough to fit three. “Take off your rags and get inside.” One of the maids said. Carly wanted to react, but stopped herself. Truly, her clothes had turned to rags, and she still hasn't had her bath after staying so long in the disgusting well. 

She quickly stripped off her clothes, wondering why they decided to give her a bath. It was quite obvious it was reluctant too because the taller one had a cloudy look like she would have preferred to bite Carly's head off than give her a bath.

“Girl, you stink,” the shorter maid snorted, while scrubbing her back.

“Well, that's what happens when you're locked in the dried well by…” Carly was yet to finish her statement when interrupted. 

“Shut up! I didn't ask you to be a smart mouth. I wonder how you were able to convince the king to even stay in the room with you not to talk about him mating you. The image alone is disgusting,” the maid said and made a sound like she wanted to throw up.

Carly blanched, it was like there was an alarm that set off in her head, "Wait what? Mate with whom? Please tell me you're joking?” She begged, but they ignored her and dried her body, handing her a see through lingerie to wear.

“Alexis, please tell me there's a way I can escape this torture!” Carly screamed in her head.

“I don't know dear, I wish I did not have to see that asshole either,” Alexis answered, feeling sorry for Carly.

The maids sprayed her a flowery scent and left, shutting the door behind them and leaving Carly to her internal battle. 

Was everything happening again? Would she be able to escape? She was in the Supreme Alpha's home. If caught while trying to escape repeatedly. It would surely be her end. With tears rolling down her cheeks, she sat on a chair, sobbing.
