ESMERAY

****THREE DAYS LATER***

It's been three days since the death of my mate, Caesar.

I sat on the edge of my bed, staring out of my wide-opened window, feeling the cold both in my heart and on my skin. The wind was heavy today and occasionally came through the window, blowing my red hair all over my face.

Back then, I had kissed Caesar's lifeless body in the fields, hoping somehow he would come back to life with the sparks that flew from our mate bond. But he didn't, and he left me all alone in this world.

I felt empty inside. This would be a great time for Miriam to come and console me, obviously, but I was honestly tired of it. Tired of being broken, and broken again. I didn't want to see anyone; I wanted to be left alone.

Miriam was stubborn and wouldn't let me "hurt" myself in her own words by being alone, so she left me no choice but to lock her outside my room.

Yes, I have been locked inside my room for three days. No food, no water...
