CHAPTER 29

CAESAR

As my eyes gaze around the cage I am imprisoned in, it reminds me of one person: my late father.

When he was alive, he told me stories of how he was captured and locked in cages made of the most formidable metal while he was still roaming the wilderness, unlawfully entering neighboring kingdoms outside the Lycan kingdom.

The least number of days he was trapped in one of those cages was two days, and then he would find his way out. The thought seems impossible to me because those were not ordinary cages; they were made specially for supernatural otherworldly beasts that couldn't escape once contained.

I remember he laughed when I asked him how he was able to break free.

"You'll understand one day, son. The lineage I come from holds great mystery." Those were the exact words he told me when I asked him.

Thinking of it now, I wonder if I would be able to escape this huge cage I am imprisoned in, just like my father did during his time in the wilderness.
