I heard a voice suddenly, breaking the stare from the wolf and looking back thinking I might have heard Blaze but there was no one. I looked out again but he was no longer there. There was no longer a black wolf there. I couldn’t get what I heard about the effect of being alone or what’s happening to Blaze is happening to me.
I fell on my knees letting out my stopped breath, I put my hand over my cheek only to feel a tear present there. Who said it? What exactly was it? I will become insane if I stay here. I moved and leaned on the wall. I hope what I have heard is a lie, nothing but an illusion.
The rest of my night was spent like this, shaking in dread, not knowing what to do anymore, fretful.
For the next few days, Blaze didn’t return home. The month is ending, no less than an endless torture for me and
Blaze POV:- After consoling Avery from her breakdown, I promised to let her meet her Parents and to talk about her permission to go out. I know the haunts a person felt in locked walls with no source of communication, filled with dreadful thought and fears unable to be removed from your heart, an intense pain, I could feel it but the path she chose was wrong. I pulled away and said, “We will talk about it tomorrow. And I shall take you to your parents this weekend, okay?” I said gently. She passed me a fake smile and nodded as she hugged me again, “Thank you, Blaze.”She whispered, pulling me. Controlling myself, I embrace her back hearing the sound of devastation which is making me realize I am still at the point where I started and nothing could end this fire of mine. “It’s late. You should sleep.” I said nervously, getting
On the weekend, We get ready to leave. Avery dressed up really well and looked so pretty. “Make sure to do as I said.” I said, so she doesn’t forget what she should do but to play on the safe side, I met her parents already and tried to talk to them about it. I told them not to let Avery know I came to them, asked for forgiveness for our deed and now wanted your acceptance. I thought at least I should fix her relationship with her parents. She should feel lucky to have one, some don't know the love of it. “Let’s go.” I said as we left. We reached their place and stood outside. I could sense the dread and coldness surging in Avery, her heart literally bursting while I looked at her unaffected. “Why are you so nervous?” I asked. “Thanks to you.” She retorted. I rolled
Her father said. I was taken aback and chuckled, “A what?” I laughed, acting. Staggered in my mind about who he knows. “Avery knows nothing about it but I do. I know the previous leader of the Fiery Fire pack. Johnathon was my friend.” My eyes widened, not being able to apprehend the information I have gained. “You… a human.. friend with a werewolf?” I asked. He nodded. “And Ashley told me how you hated humans and avoided Avery.” His voice suddenly becomes dolorous and afraid, “You despise humans now have a human mate; my daughter. I know she is lying. My daughter loves Jeremy and you forced her to marry you.” His tone became broken. “Did Ashley tell you about it?” I asked cautiously. He smiled sadly and replied, “I am her father… I know.” That was his reply. “I know I am nothing but a powerless being before you and I could do one thing as a father…” A tear rolled down his cheek as he begged, “Please don’t hurt my daughter, Alpha. I beg you. Spare her.” He begged, crying. My eyes w
Avery POV:- The next day, I woke up and saw my hands holding a muscular body as my face was buried in his chest, filling my nostrils with his deep addictive scent. I lifted my gaze , blinking a few times to clarify my vision of being in the arms of the most undesirable man but it was clear that we slept in each other's warmth. Blaze was right beside me; no pillow in between. His one hand under my head, pulling me close while his other hand on my waist, with his face so close to mine. His hot minty breath lingered on my face, making my heart pounding as my chest tightened in something mystifying. My dried lips parted as I stared at his slumbering form. Arousal of his touch and closeness was inscrutable. I gulped and managed to free my hand. With a shaky breath, I put it over his chest, my body tensed up and I called him slowly,
"I'll see you guys again soon." I smiled, hugging Mama and Papa close. "Of course. We will come as well." Mama said. "No. You don't have to." I said, pulling away. I don't want them to come and see my room which doesn't even consist of a damn door. "Why?" Mama asked. "Because… the place is surrounded by wolves. I told you guys… remember?" I nervously chuckled. She made an 'o' face and nodded in understanding. "I see… anyways. Come Soon." Mama kissed my forehead as we left after bidding a final Goodbye to my parents. "Why did you stop them from coming?" Blaze asked on our way back. "I don't want them to see the way we live our lives." I sighed, looking out of the window. "We could keep them in deception just like now." He
A sudden tear rolled down my cheek. In the lonely night, he let out his misery, isolated from the world so no one could see the concealed emotions which were shattered and he could swiftly emitted them through his symphony; obliviously. Lit by a single flare of hope to find solace in the embrace of someone he loves; I broke for being his mate. Nothing. But a cruel game of fate for both of us, leaving us at the point of our lives where we are hopeless. I hesitantly put my hand over his shoulder, he closed his eyes and gulped, holding his bursting agony inside him and took a deep breath before slowly turning to me. His eyes slowly opened as tears formed a screen in his eyes but not daring to fall. My heart stopped when I saw an unlimited affliction burning in his eyes which startled me to no extent.
I said, annoyed. She narrowed her eyes at me in repulsion and shook her head, “You are so… unbelievable. How can you change in a heartbeat?” She asked in a barely audible voice. “It was the fate of my heart to find redemption in hate.” “Don’t try to bewilder me. You are nothing but dust… scattered; Impossible to gather and fix.” She said with strong hostility mixed with strange compassion she doesn’t want but anyone would pity me if they try to know me that’s why it would be better if she minds her business and not try to know me and go to her plan of meeting her lover and stay away from me because neither me nor she wants to have any relationship. “I know. That’s why leave me be.” I said nonchalantly. “The more you deluge in it, the more it will burn you.”
Avery POV:- My hands were cold as ice, my heart was bursting from my ribcage in dread. The fear of meeting Jeremy after all this time and Blaze that if he came to know about it, what he would do, sent terrifying shivers to my core. “I hope everything went well.” I breathed out. “I hope Brother won’t kill me after knowing I helped you.” Ashley was even more scared than me. I put my hand over hers and gave it an assuring squeeze. “You are also frightened.” Ashley said deadpanned. “I am afraid of Blaze’s wrath.” I exclaimed my worry. “What if he found out… he won’t kill me but give me something worse than that.” I said, a chill stiff my bones to think about it. “There’s no going back now.” Ashley said and I nodded.&nbs
Blaze, I know by the time you will read this I won’t be here anymore. But you don’t have to worry, I am a part of you, right? I reside inside you. We share emotions, ties that bind us are unbreakable, that’s why keep in mind. I live in your heart. So please don’t cry after my death. I am giving you two cuties after all. (I don’t know whether they are going to be twins or not. I would tell Fiona the names no matter how many of ‘em) Blaze, I believe what I can’t do our child can and please, don’t neglect them. Fulfil it as my last wish. They are your salvation. What you need all this time so please don’t push them away and love them wholeheartedly, never let them remember me. Also, Don’t put the blame of my death on yourself, I chose this. I wanted to show you a path towards light, don’t immerse in darkness. Just like how your secrets spill from my eyes, I want to fulfill your prayer so please embrace it. And lastly, read my last poetic stuff to you. (Don’t judge, I am bad at them,
Present In your life you meet people, some become your ravage, some become your redemption but if the same person becomes both your devastation and liberation then what would you do? Well, I took the side of ravage and still regret it now. I sighed after reading Avery’s letter. A faint smile crept upon my lips and I put it back. It’s been two years since that incident where I lost Avery to doors of remorse along with an etched memory of three years ago of how fate bound me with her and I broke our bond by my detest. “Papa!” Damon’s voice came. “Charles is teasing me! Stop him.” He came as I picked him up. “Charles. Don’t tease you brother.” I scolded him. “But Papa, he ate my chocolate.” “I will get you both more. Okay?” I smiled, putting Damon down and ruffling their hair. You were right, Avery. My life is divided into two portions now. Damon and Charles. Charles and Damon both look like me but Damon has Avery’s sapphire eyes and both of them have her personality. The light of m
“Because her mate cannot love her, couldn’t provide her any comfort and she knew the chances of fatality were remarkable, she knew she’d die but she chose this… you know why?” Ashley swallowed with a tear rolling down,“All to eradicate your hatred. To end this fucking loop of miserym pain and resentment she sacrificed her life to give you reasons to live and love.” She cried. My heart burned in a fierce fire of hell, scorched and ripped apart to hear she did all this for me and I failed to notice the pain and weight of the eyes I lived for.I told you, you cannot bear it.We both began to cry. My voice echoed in the room as I couldn’t speak, only letting out my voice of anguish. Tears reflecting my devastation and crumbling me. The canvas of my life which began to tu
The next day, I woke up and saw Avery hugging me tightly. Ever since we have started sharing the room, I no longer have nightmares. The benediction of holding her close gave me peace.I sat up carefully not to wake her up as my lips curved upwards automatically when I saw her. I got ready for work, she was in a deep slumber so I didn’t wake her up and went to work, telling Ava to take care of her.On my way, Jeremy crossed my way and stopped me. Perplexed, thinking Avery might have talked him out then why is he here?“I need to talk to you.” He said bitterly. “What do you want?” I asked. “We need to talk.” Giving him a skeptical look, I agreed as we went to a nearby coffee shop.“Hmm… What is it?” I
Blaze POV:-As the time passed, my anxiety increased a million fold, lost in abysmal thoughts of disturbance, the fright overcame me to think about Avery’s reaction. Her words surely broke my heart and no matter how much I want to tell her, how much penitence I show about this- this would never be enough.I want a normal life with her as well, who wants to live in a dusty tomb of provocation? I can’t do it anymore, before I lose everything I have to save what I can: I can Avery, I want to do it. To say I am scared would be an understatement; I was petrified. What if I lose both of them? I will lose my reason to live and I honestly don’t want any more suffering. She doesn’t understand the delicacy and I couldn’t apprehend her emotions. We both led a distinguished path but both led to an a
“You seemed happy.” I said, looking at Blaze on our way back home. “Hmm?” He raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”“You were smiling, you were somehow elated.”“I was? I didn’t notice.” He shrugged. “You were.” I pinched his cheeks, “Avery, hey! Stop. I am driving.” He pulled my hand back, making me pout. He glanced at me and did the same action as I winced.“Sweet revenge.” He said as we both broke into a chuckle. We reached home and I was about to go to my room but Blaze stopped me, “Where are you going?”“To my room, where else?”
“Because I will die.” I said icily, waiting for his reaction. His eyes widened, losing his ability to think. He opened his mouth to say something but no words came out.“So it would be better if you forget about me and move on Jeremy. Only eternal darkness resides ahead for me.” I said, hugging my sides.“Why…? Why are you doing this?” He asked, looking down in a croaked voice.“Do you love him?” He asked again. “It doesn’t concern you. I don’t want you to involve yourself in my life anymore.”“Avery, why are you risking your life for the child of a person who doesn’t even like you? What will you gain?”My lips curved
Inhaling my scent deeply, he slowly pulled away. “I missed you.” He said earnestly.“In two week?” I asked with a smirk, getting up from my seat.“I’d miss you in a few moments, those were still weeks.” He said.“Aw~ That was cheesy.” he laughed a little and we went to his- our room.Blaze wrapped his arms securely around me, pulling me close to him. My back was pressed against his chest firmly, I smiled as we remained like this.“Blaze…” He hummed, motioning me to continue, “What’s my worth?” I asked.
“It all depends on you also Mr Allen-'' Fiona scanned Avery’s chaotic form for a minute and said, “You should take care of her well. Judging her reactions, this much tension is not good for her. Please give her extreme care, make sure not to give her any mental or physical stress.” She guided me.“I understand. Thanks, Doc.” I said.“I will write some medicines for her.” Taking the prescription from her, I bought the medicines and we went home.“Ava. Can you shift Avery’s stuff to my room?” I asked. “Of course.” She smiled and noticed Avery's depressed face, “Are you alright, Luna?”“She will be fine.” I said. “Blaze…” She called. “Hm
