After pulling my last straw of patience and drawing out the unwanted actions from me, I cleared my mind a bit and realized I shouldn’t have slapped her, I could have talked to her about it and made her understand about the importance of food rather than becoming infuriated but I couldn’t help as her action evoked unwanted memories which I am trying to forget but now I don’t think I can. The miserable life given by humans to a life bound with one… just how unpleasant it sounds.
I paced around the room and after thinking about my action for a while, I knew I shouldn’t have raised my hand against her and went back to her room. She was obviously scared to see me. Her breath became rapid, she crawled back as her back hit the wall.
“I-I didn’t m-mean to…” She said breathlessly, moving away, clutching her shirt tightly. I stopped, looking at how afraid she was of me
“When you don't care, why is it affecting you?” She huskily asked, letting out a suppressed laugh. “I hate you-” I cut her off, by lifting her, forcing her to meet my eyes. Hearing the roaring sound of her heart beating in dread but putting up a strong front somehow enticed me. It tempted me to break this facade, to touch her. I swallowed hard, her breaths lingered on my face and I kept my overflowing urges inside me and moved to her ears, “Don’t you fucking dare to call his name again.” I scowled, letting go of her as she fell on the bed with a loud gasp. I shifted on top of her and said hoarsely, “Or else you won’t be able to call anything.” I leaned in, she turned her face to her side, trying to push me away but my strength is far stronger. “-But, my name.” I hissed. Her breath stopped, she looked at me in terror, quickly shifting to the side, panting. I glanced
“I offer my life to you, Blaze.” We heard and abruptly pulled away. He looked around vaguely to apprehend where this voice came from. “Who was it?” I asked. “Was it you, Lily?” I asked because there’s no one other than her here. She asked, “What are you talking about?” “Did you say something?” I asked but then Blaze grabbed my arm and took me with him. He took me to a corner and asked, “Did you hear it as well?” He asked. I nodded. “Before?” He asked again. “No.” “Do you have any idea what it could be about?” He seemed desperate to know about them. “I believe it’s a reminder to your hatred and change yourself and fucking liberate me.” I scoffed. “Shut up.” he frowned. I don’t care what it is. It’s for you, deal with this yourself…. unless I am your second wife.” I m
I looked at my reflection in the mirror, my actual emotions of heartbreak hidden behind a layer of makeup and fake smile. I wore a midnight blue off-shoulder mermaid dress with lace sleeves. Curling my hair from the edges and how can I forget my jewelry. Looking alluring but absolutely bored and unwilling to go but rather being forced and intimidated, I should do it quietly. His action of breaking the door still sends trembles to my soul. I sighed deeply and walked out getting my empty purse which didn’t even contain a phone. I walked down and said aggravatedly, “I need my phone.” He turned to see me walking down. His eyes widened for a second as he scanned from top to bottom, enticed. He couldn’t hide the natural emotions evoked for your mate as he stared deeply at me. He was already bewitching enough and in his suit jacket with the matching fancy tie made h
The next day, I woke up with a headache as the memories of last night flashed into my mind and I could feel my cheeks heating up. What the hell was I trying to do? I quickly sat up and looked around, only to find myself in Blaze’s room. My heart began to beat fast and I cautiously looked around, shaking in fright, remembering how angry he was but didn’t show it. When we returned home, I went to his room, teased him and wore his clothes and slept in his bed, kicking him out of the room. I am in serious trouble. A shiver went down my spine, I will never drink again but please save me from his wrath. I gulped hard and was about to get out of his room. I could hear the sound of shower from the bathroom and decided to get out. But before I could get out, the door was locked. No.. no.. please. “Want the key?” Blaze’s voice came from behind. I turned to see him in his trouser with water dripping from his hot body making him more beguiling. My heart picked its pace, my throat dried as my
I went to my room, losing my breath as my mind was distraught with extreme fear and anxiety. I leaned on the door and regained my lost breath, I closed my eyes as I fell on my knees, my mind couldn’t comprehend what exactly happened. There was a storm in my mind and body, the thought alone is affecting me drastically as his words are causing a commotion, “That’s what I exactly feel when you try to break my patience: Powerless.” I couldn’t help but to beg him to stop while he didn’t shred mercy upon me and forced me to take off my clothes. Is that how he felt? When I try to awaken his rage and he begs me to stop but why does he need to refrain himself? I shook my head and remained like that for a while. I swear I will never drink again.
We had a great time, I told Ashley why I didn't have a door in my room and we were staying in my room. We laid down, turned to each other, chuckling. “It’s been a while since we had deep night conversations.” I whispered. “I know… a lot happened.” She said sadly. “Look, Ashley… I am sorry about what happened at the wedding. I was horrified by Blaze and did what he told me.” I said. “You don’t have to. It was my fault. If I come sooner and tell Jeremy about everything… we could have prevented it.” “But, what’s done is done.” I passed her a sorrowful smile. “I wish I could do something for you.” She sighed. “You can. There’s one thing you can do for me, Ashley.” I said, sitting up. “I want to meet Jeremy and tell him what
Blaze POV:- “You are a detestable creature.” A mocking voice reached my ears. “Be grateful I am letting you live here or else if someone knows about you- they will kill you.” I was 14, Ashley was eight. We need a shelter and for it, I swallowed all the harsh talks spoken about me. “I am very thankful.” I said, bowing. They agreed to provide me food and a place to live as they say and it was… inexplicably unbearable and disgusting to be sexually abused sometimes but I need it- for Ashley. “If they find out you are a werewolf, they will kill you just like your parents, so be a good boy and keep quiet.” He stood in front of me, holding my jaws, making me look at him. “Yes, Sir.” I whispered, holding my tears back. “Just look at you. Seeming like a human but a monster from inside.” He hissed, letting me go. I hated th
The next day, after work, I went to meet my friend Leo to talk to him about my problem and hopefully to find a way to get out of this. “Of all people you have a human mate. I mean yeah… it’s rare but to have her is like a Devil’s Miracle... I kinda feel bad for the girl though.” He said. “I don’t know what I should do.” I sighed, taking my shot of whiskey. “Let her go. Reject her Blaze. Everyone here knows about your extreme loathing for humans and being mated to one will kill you from inside.” “I tried! She tried to reject me but I stopped her. I couldn’t let her do this. I tried to mark her and let go of her but couldn’t and ended up marrying her legally. I wanted to stay away from her, I hate her but… I cannot le
Blaze, I know by the time you will read this I won’t be here anymore. But you don’t have to worry, I am a part of you, right? I reside inside you. We share emotions, ties that bind us are unbreakable, that’s why keep in mind. I live in your heart. So please don’t cry after my death. I am giving you two cuties after all. (I don’t know whether they are going to be twins or not. I would tell Fiona the names no matter how many of ‘em) Blaze, I believe what I can’t do our child can and please, don’t neglect them. Fulfil it as my last wish. They are your salvation. What you need all this time so please don’t push them away and love them wholeheartedly, never let them remember me. Also, Don’t put the blame of my death on yourself, I chose this. I wanted to show you a path towards light, don’t immerse in darkness. Just like how your secrets spill from my eyes, I want to fulfill your prayer so please embrace it. And lastly, read my last poetic stuff to you. (Don’t judge, I am bad at them,
Present In your life you meet people, some become your ravage, some become your redemption but if the same person becomes both your devastation and liberation then what would you do? Well, I took the side of ravage and still regret it now. I sighed after reading Avery’s letter. A faint smile crept upon my lips and I put it back. It’s been two years since that incident where I lost Avery to doors of remorse along with an etched memory of three years ago of how fate bound me with her and I broke our bond by my detest. “Papa!” Damon’s voice came. “Charles is teasing me! Stop him.” He came as I picked him up. “Charles. Don’t tease you brother.” I scolded him. “But Papa, he ate my chocolate.” “I will get you both more. Okay?” I smiled, putting Damon down and ruffling their hair. You were right, Avery. My life is divided into two portions now. Damon and Charles. Charles and Damon both look like me but Damon has Avery’s sapphire eyes and both of them have her personality. The light of m
“Because her mate cannot love her, couldn’t provide her any comfort and she knew the chances of fatality were remarkable, she knew she’d die but she chose this… you know why?” Ashley swallowed with a tear rolling down,“All to eradicate your hatred. To end this fucking loop of miserym pain and resentment she sacrificed her life to give you reasons to live and love.” She cried. My heart burned in a fierce fire of hell, scorched and ripped apart to hear she did all this for me and I failed to notice the pain and weight of the eyes I lived for.I told you, you cannot bear it.We both began to cry. My voice echoed in the room as I couldn’t speak, only letting out my voice of anguish. Tears reflecting my devastation and crumbling me. The canvas of my life which began to tu
The next day, I woke up and saw Avery hugging me tightly. Ever since we have started sharing the room, I no longer have nightmares. The benediction of holding her close gave me peace.I sat up carefully not to wake her up as my lips curved upwards automatically when I saw her. I got ready for work, she was in a deep slumber so I didn’t wake her up and went to work, telling Ava to take care of her.On my way, Jeremy crossed my way and stopped me. Perplexed, thinking Avery might have talked him out then why is he here?“I need to talk to you.” He said bitterly. “What do you want?” I asked. “We need to talk.” Giving him a skeptical look, I agreed as we went to a nearby coffee shop.“Hmm… What is it?” I
Blaze POV:-As the time passed, my anxiety increased a million fold, lost in abysmal thoughts of disturbance, the fright overcame me to think about Avery’s reaction. Her words surely broke my heart and no matter how much I want to tell her, how much penitence I show about this- this would never be enough.I want a normal life with her as well, who wants to live in a dusty tomb of provocation? I can’t do it anymore, before I lose everything I have to save what I can: I can Avery, I want to do it. To say I am scared would be an understatement; I was petrified. What if I lose both of them? I will lose my reason to live and I honestly don’t want any more suffering. She doesn’t understand the delicacy and I couldn’t apprehend her emotions. We both led a distinguished path but both led to an a
“You seemed happy.” I said, looking at Blaze on our way back home. “Hmm?” He raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”“You were smiling, you were somehow elated.”“I was? I didn’t notice.” He shrugged. “You were.” I pinched his cheeks, “Avery, hey! Stop. I am driving.” He pulled my hand back, making me pout. He glanced at me and did the same action as I winced.“Sweet revenge.” He said as we both broke into a chuckle. We reached home and I was about to go to my room but Blaze stopped me, “Where are you going?”“To my room, where else?”
“Because I will die.” I said icily, waiting for his reaction. His eyes widened, losing his ability to think. He opened his mouth to say something but no words came out.“So it would be better if you forget about me and move on Jeremy. Only eternal darkness resides ahead for me.” I said, hugging my sides.“Why…? Why are you doing this?” He asked, looking down in a croaked voice.“Do you love him?” He asked again. “It doesn’t concern you. I don’t want you to involve yourself in my life anymore.”“Avery, why are you risking your life for the child of a person who doesn’t even like you? What will you gain?”My lips curved
Inhaling my scent deeply, he slowly pulled away. “I missed you.” He said earnestly.“In two week?” I asked with a smirk, getting up from my seat.“I’d miss you in a few moments, those were still weeks.” He said.“Aw~ That was cheesy.” he laughed a little and we went to his- our room.Blaze wrapped his arms securely around me, pulling me close to him. My back was pressed against his chest firmly, I smiled as we remained like this.“Blaze…” He hummed, motioning me to continue, “What’s my worth?” I asked.
“It all depends on you also Mr Allen-'' Fiona scanned Avery’s chaotic form for a minute and said, “You should take care of her well. Judging her reactions, this much tension is not good for her. Please give her extreme care, make sure not to give her any mental or physical stress.” She guided me.“I understand. Thanks, Doc.” I said.“I will write some medicines for her.” Taking the prescription from her, I bought the medicines and we went home.“Ava. Can you shift Avery’s stuff to my room?” I asked. “Of course.” She smiled and noticed Avery's depressed face, “Are you alright, Luna?”“She will be fine.” I said. “Blaze…” She called. “Hm
