84- Playing Dirty

(Five years ago: Flashback)

Arabella Den's pov:

“Ms. Arabella. Mr. Hart wants you in his study.” I was just back from school when our head butler conveyed my stepfather’s message.

Nodding my head, I dropped my bag on the floor and straightened my dress. Ever since Mom had passed away, my stepdad had been acting weird. Three years back, I lost my doting father in a car accident. We were not really rich but used to live a decent lifestyle.

Mom was heartbroken and I thought I would lose her too when out of nowhere Mr. Hart came into the picture and proposed to her.

I could see that she was happy. So, I encouraged her to go for it. Mr. Hart lived in a ‘Richie rich’ neighborhood. After her second marriage when Mom started living with him, I was naturally asked to move in, along with her.

Here I had an army of servants who could do anything for me except to clean my po*op. Sorry for the gross example. But that was how I used to take it.

Mr. Hart was not too friendly with me but was civil. F
