“If you keep crying, we won’t be able to do much,” I tried to scold a crying River who was hiccupping now. She was sprawled on the bed on her tummy.

“I can’t believe it, Dad would try to do such a thing,” she wiped her nose with her bed, “How c…could he do this to me when he knows I love Keanu.” We both sat up in bed when we heard a knock.

“It’s Keanu,” she quickly got up from the bed, “oh Keanu,” she hugged him tightly as soon as he came inside.

“Hey!” Keanu was so shocked to see her tear-stricken face, “Look at you. What is going on? Red Riding Hood?” he looked at me questioningly when River didn’t respond to him and kept crying in his arms.

“Sh…she… she told me… m…my father…. He is fixing my marriage with some stranger. I don’t want to get married. I love nobody but you,” Keanu lifted her up by her ass and her legs were at once around him.

He made her sit on the bed. I brought water for her that she gulped in a single breath.

“Easy, love.”
