Chapter 9

(Prince Nyx POV)

I opened my eyes and looked around. Everyone was asleep now. The room is only dimly lit by a night light hanging in the far corner.

I sat up from the bed and untied the wound in my abdomen. 

I cringe at the wound. 

I can’t believe the human's got hold of Zylian poison. But I guess I am lucky to be found and treated by my mate or else I am sure I will be in serious trouble.

The wound is not wholly healed but I’m sure I will be healed completely in a week or less than that if I can get medical treatment from my planet healers.

I cringed as I tried to stand up. It still hurts but I can tolerate the pain.

My eyes went to my mate sleeping with her head resting on the wooden table. The chair looked very uncomfortable and I couldn’t help but feel guilty.

I slowly walked my way to her.

She looked so peaceful sleeping. My hands moved the hair strands covering her face. 

The familiar sparks ran through my hand making me sigh. My hand brushed her blushed red cheeks and I lowered myself to her level.

"I am sorry I am doing this. I want to say goodbye but I can’t. The more I wait the more danger you will be." I said as I kept stroking her cheeks.

My eyes filled with tears as I internally cursed myself.

"Shit. I can’t believe fate played with us like this. You are supposed to be my enemy. I tried my best to stay away. I tried my best to stay away from this feeling. But in the end, I fell in love with you. I am sorry for that. I am sorry." I said kissing her cheeks before standing up.

“You must not be with me. My people will kill you and I can't bear to see you get hurt. It hurts me but I hope you forget me and live on.” he said smiling even though it is breaking my heart.

She will hate me for sure but I need to go. I need to go before the situation becomes worse.

I quickly made out the underground clinic. I was surprised to see that it was actually a cave.

I looked around trying to find where I am. The place was a bit unfamiliar but I have no choice but to walk forward.

I looked at the cave one last time before I walk forward.

"Killian?" A familiar voice came from behind as I freeze in my spot.

I turned around swiftly as my eyes widen.

"Is- Isabella" I managed to say.

Fear filled me as I looked at her shocked. She was staring at me with a void face.

"Wh-what are you doing here?" I asked as she sighed and took a step forward.

"I should be asking you the same thing" she said as I avoid her burning gaze.

"I... I’m sorry" I said still avoiding her eyes.

"Are you... Um... are you, Prince Nyx?" she asked as my head snapped to her. 

I looked at her shocked and unable to say a word.

She bit her lips as she looked at me through her eyelids.

"I am" I sigh as she tensed.

"How did you know?" I asked as she stared at me for a few minutes.

"I had a feeling. You have strange vitals. I first thought its just some minor difference but then your wound was healing at a very rapid speed. I was starting to have doubt but when Daniel was talking about how they are looking for the prince, I felt you tense. I saw a moment of fear in your eyes and just now.... just now you told all those things when I was sleeping." she said as I nodded.

"You were awake huh?" I said as she nodded.

"I’m a light sleeper" she murmured looking away.

"Are you afraid of me?" I asked as she looked at me with tears.

"I don’t know what to feel" she said as I sighed.

"I won’t hurt you" I said as she nodded but looked away.

"I don’t understand why but I believe you" she said as I formed my hand to a fist.

"It's too dangerous for you to be here. Go inside." I said as she looked at me with tear-filled eyes.

"What about you?" she asked as I sighed and smiled.

"I have to go. I need to report back to my father" I said as she nodded sniffing.

"Please stay" she said shocking me.

"What?" I asked as she looked at me with pleading eyes.

"Your wound is still not fully healed. It will be dangerous" she said as I smiled.

"I will be alright. Zylians have a good healing ability than humans" I said as she shook her head.

"But you’re still in pain. Even now you’re clenching on your abdomen as though in pain" she said shocking me.

Yes I do feel as my pain increased but I never thought she will notice it. I was immediately awed by her observation.

"Please. Just please stay. For 3 days. At least till the therapy ends" she said as she looked at me with teary eyes.

"I...." I stopped looking at her.

I was conflicted about what to do. Her eyes were begging me to stay but I also need to go back.

I looked at the sky not knowing what to do.

It’s been a week since I went missing. Another 3 more days?

Will it be alright?

"I don’t know why I feel this way," she said as I looked at her.

She was keeping on trying to try off her tears.

"Why do I feel like I’m being ripped apart? Deep down I know you will eventually leave but why do I feel so heartbroken?" she said breaking my heart.

She looked devastated. She looked so weak.

I just want nothing more than to protect her. Be with her.

I slowly walked up to her.

With each step I felt my heart pouting more and more. 

She looked up at me with her flushed red face.

"I will stay by your side" I said as she looked up at me shocked.

"Really?" she asked as I smiled.

"Really" I said before I crashed my lips on her.

The wound is not wholly healed but I’m sure I will be healed completely in a week or less than that if I can get medical treatment from my planet healers.

I opened my eyes and looked around. Everyone was asleep now. The room is only dimly lit by a night light hanging in the far corner.

I sat up from the bed and untied the wound in my abdomen. 

I cringe at the wound. 

I can’t believe the human's got hold of Zylian poison. But I guess I am lucky to be found and treated by my mate or else I am sure I will be in serious trouble.

The wound is not wholly healed but I’m sure I will be healed completely in a week or less than that if I can get medical treatment from my planet healers.

I cringed as I tried to stand up. It still hurts but I can tolerate the pain.

My eyes went to my mate sleeping with her head resting on the wooden table. The chair looked very uncomfortable and I couldn’t help but feel guilty.

I slowly walked my way to her.

She looked so peaceful sleeping. My hands moved the hair strands covering her face. 

The familiar sparks ran through my hand making me sigh. My hand brushed her blushed red cheeks and I lowered myself to her level.

"I am sorry I am doing this. I want to say goodbye but I can’t. The more I wait the more danger you will be." I said as I kept stroking her cheeks.

My eyes filled with tears as I internally cursed myself.

"Shit. I can’t believe fate played with us like this. You are supposed to be my enemy. I tried my best to stay away. I tried my best to stay away from this feeling. But in the end, I fell in love with you. I am sorry for that. I am sorry." I said kissing her cheeks before standing up.

I saw a moment of fear in your eyes and just now.... just now you told all those things when I was sleeping." she said as I nodded.

"I’m a light sleeper" she murmured looking away.
