Chapter 9 The Truth

At that moment, my mind went blank.

'Not Angel? How could that be possible?' I remembered clearly watching her pinning me down and plunging a knife into my chest with that vicious face that was identical to mine. The pain was etched deep in my heart.

However, my mother didn't seem the slightest bit surprised. "It wasn't Angel from the start!" She screamed and hung up the phone before Officer John could finish.

The crowd began shoving the police as they chanted for my death. The nearby officers tried to maintain order, demanding that my mother delete her post. However, she refused to do so.

"My daughter is dead! Why won't you leave her alone even after death?"

At this point, I could no longer ignore the exhaustion weighing on my soul.

Everyone was rallying for justice for Angel, and no one cared about me. Now that I had no choice but to follow my mother around, I knew that she wouldn't believe me even if I told her the truth.
