Keep your head up high, and your middle finger higher
"Keep it moving Miss Nicholai," the female cop pushed me forward out of my cell, to the waiting room where I saw mom in her CBI uniform glaring daggers at my head. If looks could kill, I'm pretty sure I'll be six feet below the ground.
"Thank you officer Willis," mom sighed and I rolled my eyes.
"What the fuck is there to thank about? she's been mean to me for the last six hours." I exasperated and they both glared at me.
"Don't you dare utter a word Harriet. I'm one second away from snapping at you," mom scolded and I frowned at her.
"You don't have the right to scold me you're not my dad." I corrected her and she growled in anger. Even in anger, she still looked beautiful. I was extremely jealous at my mom, she had blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin. And I was blessed after my dad, brown hair which I cut into bob and brown eyes. She was seen as Manchester's hero for risking her life to save her loved ones when she was younger and I was seen as Manchester's
villain for committing murder at age 8"You need to change back to the clothes you came in here with," the officer informed me and I pouted my lips.
"But it's bloody, I don't like it when people stare at me when I'm bloody." I whined and she glared at me. It was true though, I couldn't walk about with a bloody shirt and I liked the white jumpsuit, it reminded me of the white dress I wore at the asylum.
"You're lucky your mother is a CBI or else you would have stayed here longer," the officer spoke and I flipped her the bird. I picked up my uniform and bag and followed mom out of the station.
"You will pay for this I swear. My son can barely talk or eat thanks to you." I heard a woman scream outside the station and I turned to see the older version of the guy who's pinky was bitten off by me.
"Hollup! You shoulda trained him not to bully girls like me. Your lucky I didn't chop off his baby maker." I seethed and she gasped in anger.
"I'm sorry but we have to go," my mom's voice erupted and I saw her entering her car.
"Tell your boy I say hi." I told the woman and got into my mom's car.
"Seat belts," She ordered and I groaned.
"I don't need one." I replied and she glared at me.
"Whatever." I mumbled and put on the seat belt, sticking out my tongue childishly at her. The drive was silent and tension filled. I could feel the waves of anger flowing through us.
We got home and I jumped out of the car quickly, slamming the door hard behind me. I opened our door and was greeted by a furry animal jumping on me."Hey there Storm." I giggled, scratching its ears and it purred. Storm was the name I gave to my trained pet raccoon when I found it on a tree at the back yard of our home. It was too cute to let go and after so many pleas and threat to burn down the house, mom allowed it to stay.
"You hungry buddy?" I asked and it jumped out of my arms and scurried to the kitchen. I followed it and brought out his plate before pouring some marshmallows for it to eat.
"You think your just gonna get away with what happened huh?" mom asked and I groaned, I didn't like conversations with my mom, they always ended up with screams and slamming of doors.
"He pushed me to the floor, what was I supposed to do? Sit down and watch him trash talk me around like a rag doll. No thanks." I told her and she sighed.
"Why are you doing this Harriet? I make sure I work really hard to pay your damn fees, pay the bills and put food on the table," she raised her voice and my hands twitched in anger.
"That's not enough mom. We don't need all of that, all we need is you. Ever since Garriet died, you distanced yourself from us. Dad had to give his company to uncle Liam to handle just so he could be there, dad lost his parents at the same period too and all you ever cared about was your stupid job!" I yelled at her and she balled her fist.
"This isn't about your father, this is about you. We're discussing you and not your father!" she yelled back and I gave her a cold stare.
"I needed to defend myself and why do you care anyways? You stopped caring when Garriet was attacked, you weren't there when she was defribrillized, you weren't there when she said her last goodbye, you weren't there when she was buried, you weren't there when I was diagnosed with IED, you made the judge send dad away, you never visited me at the asylum, so what the actual fuck is there to discuss about me? Why don't we discuss about how you've been a bad mother!" I yelled, releasing the aura of anger.
"Don't you dare raise your voice at me Harriet," she warned and I let out a dry chuckle. That was all she got to say.
"C'mon Storm I'm off to bed." I called him and he hopped off the counter and jumped on my shoulder.
"Don't you dare walk out on me," she scolded and I smirked,
"Watch me." I muttered and left her there shocked. I got to my room and locked the door. I slid down the door and sat on the floor, curving marks on the wooden floorboard of my room with my pocket knife. I won't cry, I won't fucking cry. She's not worth your tears. Only the painful blood drying tasers are worth your tears. She can rot in hell for all I bloody care. I don't need to cry. Tears are for mental institutions.
"Harriet." I heard a voice whisper from outside my room and I smiled brightly and unlocked the door. There, my two younger twins stood with curious faces.
"Hey buddies." I greeted, ruffling Wilson's hair knowing full well how much he hated it.
"Hey!" He pouted and I laughed and cocked an eyebrow at Wesley who looked shy, staring at the ground.
"What do you guys want." I asked, setting Storm's bed.
"We just wanted to know why you and mom fought again." Wilson told me and I laughed at Wesley's red cheeks.
"I got arrested for chopping off a boy's pinky nothing bad." I shrugged and smirked at their horrifying looks. No matter how angry I could get, I could never snap at them. They were a pair of adorable 9-year olds. Unfortanately they were identical, but I could differentiate them a little. Wesley was the shy and nerdy type with a birth mark on his cheek bone and unlike Wilson, his hair was always unkempt. Wilson was the bold and too lazy type, the only thing he cherished in life was his hair.
"That's cool." Wilson said, a huge smile on his face.
"No it's not, it's very bad." Wesley corrected and I nodded agreeing with him.
"But she did it to protect herself just like she taught us." Wilson defended himself and I shook my head, disagreeing with him. Remind me to stop teaching Wilson bad stuffs.
"Guys, it's a school night, bed awaits." I shooed them out of my room, ignoring Wilson's protest and locked my room. I had my bath, scrubbing off the dried stain of blood on my fingers. I changed into my pajamas, turning on the room heater and hopped on the bed.
"Thank you Storm." I thanked him when he brought my sleeping pills and laid back on his bed.
"Goodnight Storm." I mumbled, giving in to sleep.
I got the name Storm from my younger brother who loves raccoons. Unfortunately for him my dad hates pets plus who would want to have a raccoon here in my country 😂😂
So strangeIf you don't like me and you still watch everything I do, Bitch! Your a fanDressed up in a black hoodie, black ripped jeans, and my favorite black leather heel boots, I was ready to face the new therapist mom had appointed me with. She was the second therapist I was visiting since my release from the asylum two years ago. The first therapist died by an accident. Not like I did anything though. Okay fine I accidentally on purposely spoiled her brakes(she dared me too). I slung my side bag over my shoulders, ran my fingers through my short hair and left my room with Storm hot on my trail.I got down to the kitchen to see my brothers eating breakfast and Mrs Jenna fixing a plate of pancakes for me. I sat down and she placed it on my table
*the question isn't who's going to let me, it's who's going to stop me*"Y-you're a monster," she whispered and I nodded, standing up."A monster." I repeated, walking over to her seat. "You think you know so much about me don't you?" I asked, picking up a pen. It had a sharp point at the end and I held it up to the light, analyzing it. This could do some damage. I smiled at the thought but quickly frowned, remembering where I was. I could get tasered or sent to an emergency asylum. "You read my file and thought, "oh! Manners is a monster!" I said in a high pitched voice."You're a murderer," she blurted out and I turned her chair around and stood right in between her legs, leaning my head to one side."So I killed a few people." I shrugged. "Boohoo." I said and she narrowed her eyes, following my movements when I started
"Here's your phone," Mom said and I snatched my iPhone from her and tucked it in my winter jacket pocket."C'mon Mom, the plane leaves in an hour." I reminded her and she drove out of the garage. This was it. I was going to live with the man I hadn't seen in 8 years. How was I supposed to behave in front of him?"You got your transfer letter and your dad's address right?" Mom asked and I rolled my eyes and nodded."Look Harriet, California isn't like Manchester. You make one move and you're gonna spend the rest of your life in juvenile. Clear?" Mom asked and I nodded. Clear my ass.She parked her car in front of the airport and I got down and brought out my luggages from the car trunk and backed my backpack, watching my brothers get down from the car with sad faces. How I wish I could bring them along with me. I was wo
8 YEARS AGO"I like Patrick better because he's a starfish." Garriet said and I rolled my eyes."But sponge Bob is smart and Patrick is dumb." I frowned getting angry as I swung my sailor moon lunch box and held her hand. Daddy said I should always protect Garriet because she has a weak heart."Rage don't insult Patrick he's my friend," she warned."Ok I won't anymore." I told her and we got into the lonely bridge road."Rage look there's a man on the floor." Garriet said and ran towards the man on the floor."Oh my!" she gasped as I got over to her. "He's hurt," she said pointing at his bloody shirt."Let's get out of here Garry I don't think it's safe." I told her grabbing her hand but she snatched it back.
At first I cared but then I was like Nah, fuck youI yawned when I felt Storm on me and I got up, still tired. Damn those sleeping pills.I was a sweating mess right now. Even after two nights, I wasn't used to sleeping without heater on. I got down from my bed and got to my mini bathroom and picked my brush and stared at the mirror. My brown eyes had no emotion and my hair was short and wild, the usual. I had red bags under my eyes and I sighed. Even with the sleeping pills, I still look sleep deprived.I stripped off my clothes and threw them in hamper before taking a shower.I dressed up in a simple ripped jean shorts and oversized gray shirt and a ripped denim jacket. My hair was in a messy short ponytail and I wore my leather bracelet with my knife in it. Fuck mom and her stupid ru

Myhair were in two unkempt double dutch braids. I fixed Storm's leach and took my backpack."What the bloody hell have you done to your room?" I heard dad screech and I groaned and looked around the room walls. I took my time to write a few things or so many words and reminders with a black permanent marker on the walls. If anyone saw it, they would think I'm insane but to me, it looked cool."I warned you about stepping into my room without permission dad." I complained and he looked at me wi

My eyes widened as I stared at the feet of the person in my room and slowly trailed upwards. Green boots, black jumper worn with a green crop top and a green bandana on a perfect red hair in a ponytail. There was only one person that was this creative and obsessed with bandanas."Aunt Lily." I deadpanned and she squealed and pulled me in tight hug. She released me when I gasped for air and smiled sheepishly. Aunt Lily was my dad's adopted sister and mom's half sister. I really don't care about what happened in the past.

I told him and his lips trembled much to my pleasure. This was want I wanted. His mind unable to think straight because of me. Because of what I was capable of doing."You k-k-killed a married m-man and his 4 year o-o-old child," he stuttered and I rolled my eyes. Out of all things he could use to remember me was this."The man was annoying the hell out of me and he should have known not to bring his daughter into my rubber room or should I call it padded cell when he wanted to do his therapying." I told him with quoted fingers and his e
"I'd like to see him first," dad said with his hands akimbo and I rolled my eyes at his style of being the strict father."He can be very shy." I whispered and dad gave me a questioning look. I sighed and went over to open the door, ignoring Aunt Lily's teasing whistle. Uncle Levi on the other hand was holding a shot gun in case he needed to shoot the guy. His words not mine."My crazy family wants to see you." I told him and he exhaled in fright and rubbed his shaking hands together. He looked really good in a white long sleeved shirt and jean. His hair covered with a black head warmer. He came in and froze. I glared at Uncle Levi who pointed the gun to him. He grinned in happiness, and lowered the gun."I heard you're taking my girl out on a little trip?" Dad asked and I rolled my eyes. Ginger flinched and nodded slowly.
Life's a bitch. You've got to go out there and kick some asses off."Was it Todd that gave you the bruise on your eye the first time I saw you?" I asked him and he looked away from me. I had been dreading to know if it was Todd ever since he told me he was used to more pain. I needed to know if he was abused by someone else too, or only bullied by Todd."Yeah," he replied but I could tell he was lying. He changed his voice and became still. He avoided eye contact and blinked rapidly. His chest rose and fell in a fast pace. I knew it wasn't going to be easy for him to tell me, but I needed to know. I needed to be there for him."Liar." I drawled slowly and he shook his head and balled his fist. I was infuriating him so he would tell me out if frustration. I would do anything to get the truth from him."
You can't do epic shit with basic people."Don't you have a place called school to go to." I heard dad knock on my door and I sat up with sleepy eyes. I stared at the wall clock and my eyes widened. I had few minutes to be at school. I got up instantly and rushed to my bathroom to have a quick bath. My hair was really tangled so I did my usual rough double dutch braids.I dressed up quickly and picked my bag. I didn't want to disturb Storm who was still asleep so I rushed out and went to the refrigerator to grab a granola bar."Here take this. I hate high school lunches, it's gross." Uncle Levi said handling me a paper bag. I threw it in my backpack and ran to dad's garage. I climbed on my new bike, fixed my helmet and drove out of the house.I got to the school and parked it at the students pa

I folded my arms and watched as Storm began to play with the plants."You're so noisy for a stalker. I could hear your footsteps and heavy breathing. Plus you don't need to act dumb, it's not required," he said and I rolled my eyes and sat close to him, hugging my knees too."So..." I trailed off and he glared at me.
