I had ensured to stop the trusted circle from carrying out a very dubious act of punishing the very person who sought help from them.

Seeing as I was the king, the guards had no option but to listen to me, I ordered them to put Aria into one of the guest rooms but to also lock it up, and ensure it was guarded, so she didn’t escape.

Then I left her for a while to rest up, and also commanded that she be taken well care of,

I came back after some hours, eager to speak to her and get some answers from her.

The guards were still situated at the front door,

The maids had injected some wolfsbane into her, to keep her weak and unable to use her powers for now.

Entering the room, I noticed she was lying on the bed, her eyes were open. However, she remained unmoving.
