Words failed Jenna in explaining how she felt. Shocked?

 Amazed?

Scared?

It was a mixture of all!!.

She blinked repeatedly, batting her lashes just the same way Alessia usually did.

“How… What.. I..” she tried speaking but they ended up in a meaningless stutter.

Bryan heaved a deep sigh, digging his hand into his wavy brown hair. He moved away from where they stood, walking over to the cellar. Without a second thought, he grabbed a bottle of alcohol and gulped its contents down his throat.

Jenna's heart skipped a million beats at once and for a few seconds, it ached, causing a wince to escape her mouth.

What are you talking about?” she finally spoke, feeling her heart palpitation increasing as she walked over to where he was.

“How much do you want, millions or a billion? Alessia's family are stinkingly rich" he said and Jenna scoffed, getting a clue of his supposed bride's name

“I haven't even agreed to that!” she raised her voice, watching him gulp down the alcoholic liquid.

“You definitely will because you are the only one that can do this' ' he raised his voice too, making a sound with the bottle he dropped. Jenna blinked as a wave of regret overwhelmed her. She could have just refused to do the delivery and now, she's trapped in his hands!

“How? Aren't there other ladies out there?" She questioned.

“Of course they are but.. I'm surprised too, you have similar features with her” Bryan replied and she scoffed again, getting confused as each second passed by and with each word of it.

“Including my face?” Jenna was forced to ask, feeling so surprised at his words. Bryan breathed in realization, the faces are indeed different.

“We could..” he paused, racking his brain for a solution and when he did, it was about thirty seconds later. Jenna's brows were scrunched up all the while.

“We'll get a silicone mask” he said and she opened her mouth in shock. She wasn't shocked to hear that a silicone mask could be gotten but rather, she was surprised that he wasn't joking. He really meant his words of having her impersonate his bride.

“You mean I'll wear a silicone mask and impersonate your wife for a year?.." she breathed

“How am I even so sure that you aren't deceiving me? What if you tell me to impersonate her forever?" She questioned further.

“No” he said and walked over to her, his eyes were red already — the effects of the elimination, coupled with that of the alcohol.

“It's just a year, I promise. I have a task to complete too within that period” he said, referring to the safe box he's still bent on finding.

“I can't, I'm sorry”. Jenna said and tries to leave but stops on her tracks realizing the door was locked.

“The pass code” she said, turning to Bryan.

“I told you I wouldn't let you go, if I do, I'm not sure I'll find someone else” Bryan replied with a smirk. Although he was still pained that his lover was no more but his desperation for wealth and to get an impersonator was more overwhelming.

“I have a boyfriend!” she admitted and he smirked.

“Lose him then, I lost mine too!” he yelled and watched her arms drop.

“What do I tell her relatives? That she's dead? When our wedding is just three days away. Look at it in my shoes and succumb to my will!” he said in an authoritative tone.

“Think of it, after a year, we'll divorce and you'll be rich, you could even decide to return your man” he said in a persuasive tone and Jenna heaved a deep breath, finding his words wise.

It was a bold proposition after all, an opportunity to change her status within a year..

“A hundred and fifty million” her lips moved before she could realize and she raised a brow, expecting him to negotiate but his response was surprising.

“Agreed" he said and she gasped. That was quite a huge amount!

“Will you do it?” Bryan asked and without hesitation, she nodded immediately

“Of course, it's ten times higher than my salary in a lifetime” she grinned, wiping her tears immediately. A wave of relief ran down spine and he heaved a deep breath but though he wasn't so relieved, he needed to find a way to dispose the body.

“We should head to the court now” Jenna said, jolting him out of his thoughts and he raised a brow.

“What for?" He asked and she scoffed.

“To sign the contract marriage of course” she replied quite bluntly. Bryan scoffed for the numberless time in minutes, He doesn't even have a lawyer and even if he was to use Alessia's, his secret will be unsafe then.

“We don't need that" he said and before she could reply, he grabbed a piece of paper and pen on Alessia's reason table, walking over to her with it.

“Sign here" he said after scribbling his own signature on it. It was Jenna's turn to scoff.

“Who the hell signs a contract marriage on an empty piece of paper?”

“Bryan Finn” he said with a smirk and slowly, she received the paper from him. She placed the paper on the wall and signed gently.

“Here..” she said, staring at him with an expression he couldn't totally explain.

“You are now Alessia Dion” he said and she heaved a deep breath before nodding slowly.

“Is that a scissors?” he asked, seeing the head of something popping out of her cross bag.

“Yeah, I do use it to cut the seals of —” she was saying and just as he was fond of doing, he cut her short by interrupting.

“I didn't ask you” he said and without warning, he took it away from her bag.

“Hey!” She tried stopping him but it didn't work.

Without hesitation, he removed the band holding her hair in a ponytail and her hair fell freely.

“What are you doing?” she asked, ignorant of his intentions and without responding, he cut off the lower part of her hair. Jenna gasped on realizing his actions.

“Alessia doesn't keep her hair long” he said and she almost cried.

“You just cut off what I've been growing for years!” she complained.

“It’s part of our agreement.” he said and immediately, he remembered something.

“You need a tattoo on your left hand” he said and her eyes widened.

“No, that's unholy!” she whimpered as he grabbed her arm.

Bryan smirked, turning to her.

“Unholy? Is having a boyfriend not unholy?”

“We’ve never been intimate” she replied, rolling her eyes.

“It’s none of my business” Bryan sighed and immediately, he grabbed her arm, pulling her out of the house.

“Where are we going?” she cringed, struggling to lessen his grip on her.

“Let's go make you look like her..”
