Chapter 2 - Saving Her

The next day came quickly and Jennifer realized that she needed to go shopping after seeing her boring clothes for college. So within an hour after deciding, she reached the biggest mall in the city and started exploring shops for clothes.

She picked some casual tops and dresses. She was looking through some dresses when a conversation reached her ears.

"Ma'am, what about this and this?" A saleswoman asked a girl who was sitting on a comfy sofa with a blank face.

The saleswoman is showing her dresses to choose from.

"I am not liking any of this. Show me something else." The girl said with a bored tone.

Though she has a pretty face, there wasn't any happiness. Suddenly Jennifer wanted to know the reason for her sadness.

She can read people's minds very easily.

The saleswoman bought some more designer clothes, but she didn't like any of them.

She doesn't know why but her legs started walking towards them.

"Maybe I can help?" Jennifer asked them with a natural smile.

Both of them looked at her with questioning gazes. Jennifer looked at that girl from top to bottom to analyze what type of dress would suit her according to her face and body.

After getting the result in her mind, she went towards the clothing rack and picked up some dresses for the girl.

"Here take these dresses, I am sure you will look good in all of them." Jennifer said walking towards her and the girl raised her eyebrows at her.

"If you only look at the dresses, how will you know if they will look good on you or not? Go and try on these dresses." Jennifer said to her, smiling.

The girl went into deep thinking and after a few moments, she took the dresses from her and went to change.

"Thank you!" The saleswoman mumbled and Jennifer smiled at her.

They were waiting for that girl to come out of the changing room. Jennifer looked behind her back to see two bodyguards standing and she could understand they were that girl's bodyguards.

Jennifer started playing games on her phone out of boredom but looked up when she heard the sound of heels. The girl came out of the changing room in a baby pink floral sundress and she was looking very cute and pretty in that dress.

"Wow." Jennifer said in a silent voice.

The girl smiled at her and looked into the mirror. Without saying anything else, Jennifer left from there and picked up her shopping bags after paying the bill.

She woke up late on her first day of college as her stupid alarm couldn't break her sleep. She quickly brushed her teeth and took a shower.

She needed to look good on her first day so she picked a cool outfit. Then she grabbed an apple from the fridge as she can't make breakfast right away or she will be too late.

She thought of grabbing a coffee from any cafe on the way to her college. After grabbing coffee and some snacks from a cafe, she headed towards public transport to go to college.

After twenty minutes, she finally reached her college and her eyes fell on students who were gossiping here and there. She went towards the office room to get her class schedule.

After getting it, she was looking at it keenly when suddenly she collided with someone and her documents and schedule fell from her hands. She looked up to see the same girl whom she helped yesterday at the shopping mall.

The girl was also shocked to see Jennifer in her college. Without saying anything to her, Jennifer bent down to pick up her things.

"Hey, we meet again. Yesterday I didn't get to say 'Thank you' to you." She spoke

smiling warmly.

Jennifer noticed that her bodyguards were there too.

"It's fine. I like it when I am helping people." Jennifer said with a smile.

"Hi, I am Kate." That girl said and forwarded her hands towards Jennifer.

Jennifer's eyes went to her bodyguards who were glaring at her so she also looked back at them and glared with more intensity.

"Hi, I am Jennifer." She said, shaking her hand with her.

"I will talk to you later." Kate said and went away.

"Stay away from her or you will see hell." One of her bodyguards said, coming towards Jennifer.

Before she could say something, they went past her. Without thinking much, she ran towards her first class, and one by one, she attended all her classes.

Jennifer was a little bit tired from running here and there constantly, so she thought of going to the washroom to wash her face. The college is so big, after roaming a lot she finally found the washroom.

She tried to open the door but it was locked.

"Hello, who is inside? Open the door. It's not a personal washroom that you will use alone." She yelled as no one responded to her knocks on the door.

She banged the door again but no one said anything from the inside and she was only getting complete silence. She stood there a few seconds and was about to go but suddenly she heard someone saying help from inside the washroom and she understood that someone was in trouble.

"Whoever is inside, open the door or I will call the cops." She yelled again.

Now she couldn't hold back herself anymore and she pushed the door with all her strength but it wasn't opening. So she moved back and gave a hard kick in the door and it broke with a loud sound.

She quickly went in and the scene in front of her shocked her very much. A boy was forcing himself on Kate and she was crying very much.

That boy had closed her mouth with his hand and by seeing it Jennifer got very much angry. She pulled that boy from his collar and pushed him to the floor.

Kate quickly came towards her and stood behind her in fear.

"You bitch, how dare you!" He said, getting up from the floor and tried to slap Jennifer but before that, she held his hand and punched him in the stomach then kicked him where the sun doesn't shine.

He groaned in pain and before she could do anything else, he ran away saving his ass. She was about to go behind him but loud sobbing stopped her and she looked back to see that Kate was crying and she looked so scared.

"Kate, are you fine? I am here now. Nothing will happen to you." Jennifer said, cupping her face, trying to calm her down.

Kate didn't say anything and suddenly she engulfed Jennifer in a tight hug and Jennifer rubbed her back to calm her down.

"Let's get out of here." Jennifer said and she nodded sobbing.

They came out of the washroom and Suddenly her bodyguards came out of nowhere.

"Ma'am, are you okay? Why are you crying? Did this girl do something to you?" One of them asked while glaring at Jennifer and this time also Jennifer glared at them back.

"No, she didn't do anything. I want to go to see my brother. Take me to him." She said and broke down in tears again.

Her bodyguards nodded their heads and she went away with them. Jennifer was feeling very bad for Kate.

She took a deep breath and decided that she would teach that boy a good lesson and if she couldn't she would change her name.

"Sir, Kate's bodyguard called a few minutes back. He said Kate is coming to meet you." A man said to his boss.

"What happened?" The man said who was sitting in a leather armchair.

His voice was calm but very dangerous.

"Don't know, sir. He said she is crying continuously. He also said that Kate was with a girl." Raphael said to his boss and he fisted his hands while his face turned harder.

He is none other than the top businessman in New York, Ethan King. He is very popular for his cruelty in the business world and no one tries to mess with him except his sole enemy.

He is very protective of his family, especially of his dear sister, Kate. He can't see his sister cry again after a past incident that hurt her deeply.

So he decided that he will not spare that person who made her sister cry again. Suddenly, the big door of the room opened.

There stood Kate in her miserable state. Her whole face was red due to continuous crying.

Ethan got up from his chair and he was angrier now seeing his sister crying. Kate ran towards him and hugged him.

She was shivering very badly and Ethan rubbed her back to calm her down.

"Broth.... brother... I.. I." She wasn't able to form any words due to sobbing.

"Kate, tell me what happened?" Ethan asked in a soft tone.

He wiped her tears and Kate narrated the whole incident. Kate feels safe when she is with Ethan.

Ethan got silent after hearing everything and no one said anything because they knew this was silence before the storm.

"Raphael, take Kate home." Ethan said in his deep cold voice.

Ethan can't let his sister watch his cruel side. Raphael nodded his head and took Kate from there.

"I want that bastard in my basement in half an hour." He yelled at Kate's bodyguards, making them scared and they quickly went away to get that boy.

I will make sure that bastard has a painful death, Ethan thought, smiling evilly.
