Chapter 1 Betrayal

IRIS

“Wake up Iris, come on it's your coronation tonight, have you forgotten you're going to be taking over the company today, after waiting for such a long time your dream has finally come true” Chloe my sister dragged me up from the bed,

“Ohh Chloe please let me sleep some more” I whined turning to face the other side of the bed

“Trust me if you keep sleeping this way then forget about the surprise your dad and I prepared for you!” Came mum's voice and I sprang up from the bed immediately

“Easy darling, don't hurt the baby” Mum said and rushed towards me as she helped me sit up on the bed

“Come on mum, the baby is just two months it's not going to get hurt”

“I know I just don't want mistakes” Mum smiled rubbing my tummy, 

“Uhm Chloe?”

“Yes sis” 

“Have you seen my husband?”

“Ahh….yeah he's almost ready”

“Oh shit you should have woke me up long time ago”

“I did, you were sleeping like a cat” She laughed behind me as I rushed into the bathroom to get ready.

Two hours later, 

“Dad we've been driving for two hours when are we going to get to see the surprise

“Patience daughter, you worry too much, just calm down and enjoy the ride”

“The road is dark and lonely too,”

“Alright we are here” My dad said and parked the car while we all came down, and Edwardo held my hand

I looked around the whole place that's just a deserted area, 

“Dad, mum, where the surprise, I'm just seeing darkness and nothing else, this place is giving me the creeps please let's go straight to the company”

“Of course daughter, you will go straight to hell from here” Mum said with a smirk and pulled out a knife, shocking the hell out of me, 

“Mum, dad, sis what's going on?” 

“Exactly what you think it is” Chloe smiled

“Babe let's run, hold me tight” Edwardo whispered to me and we took off immediately, they kept chasing us while we kept on running, I started sweating profusely, and my breath became erratic, I was getting tired and weak and cannot run anymore, 

“I can't do this anymore Edwardo I can't run anymore” I pant heavily as I held my tummy

“Don't bother to run, you both can't run away from us tonight” Chloe smiled and brought out a gun pointing it at us.

I held my tummy breathing so fast, while my husband wrapped his arm around my shoulder to support me

“Dear sister, times up, two more step from the both of you and you'll fall  into the mighty Ocean behind you” My sister Chloe smirked pointing a gun at me and my husband

“Mum please you have to stop her, tell her she's my sister and should not be doing this” I pleaded In tears watching the people I called my family 

"Dad, please tell me you're not part of this please?” I asked shaking in fear

“What should I say? My darling Iris, gosh….I can't believe I had to pretend to be good to you all these time, damn I thought I was going to lose my teeth from endlessly smiling at your face while trying to cover the monster in me, but now is over, you can die while my daughter enjoy everything that you have, right princess?”

“Yes father” Chloe replied with smiles,

“Ahhhhh…..!” I yelled in anger, and pain

“How could you all do this to me, I did nothing but love and accept you people, but what did I get in return, betrayals from the people that claim to love me, how could you all do this to me!” I yelled pointing at them all

“Worthless, useless, and a pathetic man that's what you married, and you expect us to let you rule the Vanchez Empire with this lowlife”

“How dare you call my husband a low life?”

“Shut it Iris……!” She yelled, followed by a gunshot……seconds later, I regained myself and that's when I noticed Edwardo was hugging me and blood was spilling from the corner of his mouth, 

“No…no…no…Edwardo you can't leave me alone, I can't do this without you please….” I cried in tears holding him in my arms while I watched my darling husband struggle for his life, 

“I….I…..” He wanted to talk but he kept coughing out blood

“I..lo…ve..you, please ta…ke…care of our…bby, run….run…” He pushed me away from him, 

“Now time to say goodbye to your shitty husband” Chloe smiled and started firing shot at him, Edwardo staggered and he slip a step and began falling into the Ocean

“Edwardo……!” I screamed in tears, stretching forth my hand towards the Ocean, but he was already gone. I turned towards the traitors with bloody eyes, 

“Oops looks like your baby is also leaving you” Chloe laughed, I looked down to see blood flowing down my thighs, 

“No…no…!” I shook in fear and placed my left palm on my thighs and it was truly my blood

“Noooo…….my baby……..!” I cried as my knees crumbled weakle to the ground

“Times up dear sister, it's time to join your baby and your husband they are probably waiting for you, and don't worry I will take good care of the company”

“I'll do it” Mother said to her as she walk towards me, she squat before me, and held cheeks, 

“It's time to go and meet your real family, and in your next life remember not to trust people” 

The next thing I felt was a deep stab on my tummy, my face scrunch in pain, and again came another deeper stab, hot  tears roll down my cheeks, as I stared into her face, and again came another deep stab, I spit out blood which splash all over her face, 

“Die……!” She yelled and pushed me into the Ocean, as I lowered I could see their smiley and victorious face, my mistake in this lifetime was trusting the wrong people, and if I ever get a second chance, it's blood in atonement for their sins

My body landed into the deep Ocean with a loud thud, I closed my eyes as everything blacked out.
