POV: Declan Williams.

“Find everything about Inara Wells. Everything that she has been up to, in the past seven years.” I said to Rogers, my second Personal assistant and he nodded with a slight bow and walked out of the room.

I paced around the room for Several minutes,my head not getting away from the

I sat comfortably on my couch, my phone in my hand as I waited for Jeremy to answer the video call. It didn't take long before little his face popped up on my screen, his eyebrows furrowed in frustration.

"Hey  Son, what's up?" I greeted him, trying to lighten the mood.

"Hi Dad. Miss Inara just lashed out at me for no reason. I don't know what I did wrong," Jeremy complained, his voice laced with irritation and confusion.

I let out a sigh. Inara was on edge and I still didn’t understand why, but I sighed., I was going to find it out, what it was that made her hate me. "I'm sorry to hear that, Jer. But it's not your fault. Inara's just angry with me," I told him.

"Wait, what do you mean she's angry with you?" Jeremy asked with a confused look.

I leaned back on my couch and took a deep breath, "After the great war seven years ago, Inara left the pack because of me. I guess she blames me for everything that happened, and her trust in me plummeted. She's been angry with me ever since," I explained.

Jeremy's eyes widened in surprise, "I had no idea. I mean, I've heard the stories, but I never knew it was about you," he said.

“Let’s not talk about it, Son. Tomorrow, Hardin will take you back to Inara and she would help you. Okay?” I said and he nodded.

“Alrifght Dad. Take care of yourself. I love you, Dad. Goodnight.” He said and I nodded

I felt lucky to have a smart son like him. "Thanks, Jer. I appreciate it more than you know. And I love you too, son. Goodnight." I said and ended the call.

After we hung up, I sat back and let out a deep breath. It was good to talk to Jeremy and get that off my chest. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I was determined to find Inara and make things right, for both our sakes.

My mind Flashed back to when I first found Jeremy, My son.

After the great war, I was injured and had to stay in bed for weeks. The wounds were severe, and my body was weak. But I had to keep up my spirit to lead the pack. I still remember the day when Hardin came back with a baby in his arms. I was shocked and confused. I had no idea where he had found the child, and why he had brought him here. Hardin explained that he found the baby abandoned in the woods, and brought him here to our pack because he knew we would take care of him.

When I saw the baby, something stirred inside me. I could smell his scent, and it was familiar to me. I knew then that the baby was mine and that he was my pup. I asked Hardin to leave the baby with me, and he obliged. I held the baby in my arms, and he looked up at me with his big brown eyes. I felt an instant connection with him, and it was a strange feeling that I couldn't explain.

I looked at him closely, and I saw a resemblance to myself, and I knew that he was my son. I was confused because I didn't remember ever having a child. I was sure that I had no mate, and I had not known any female wolves that well. But the scent of the baby was unmistakable, and it confirmed my suspicion that he was my pup.

I looked up at Hardin, who was still standing there, watching us. "Thank you, Hardin," I said. "But why did you bring him here?"

"I found him abandoned in the forest, and I thought we could take care of him," Hardin said. "I had no idea he was your pup, Declan."

I didn't know how to explain what I was feeling. It was a mix of joy, confusion, and a sense of responsibility. I couldn't abandon the baby, and I knew that I had to take care of him. It was my duty as his father and alpha. "He will stay with us," I said. "And I will take care of him."

I named him Jeremy, and he became a part of our pack. The pack welcomed him and treated him like one of their own. I took care of him, watched him grow, and taught him everything I knew. It was a new experience for me, but I enjoyed it. The connection between us grew stronger, and I knew that he was mine.

Jeremy was a quiet smart child, who knew how to read the room. When he’d been younger, he didn’t care about the Mother Figure. But of recent he had been withdrawn, and I recently discovered that it was because he was being teased for not having a mom.

That was why he wanted to meet Inara. Since Inara was great with Investigations, My son thought he could find his Mother.

I was dying to find and know his Mother was. I wasn’t the type of guy to fuck around, and I had no relations, not since my relationship with Inara ended, and since my Mate was Paralysed, she wasn’t able to give birth.

That leaves only one person: Inara Wells. She was the only person I had sexual relations with.  But it wasn’t possible that Jeremy was his child, She wouldn’t have sent him back to me. She would have taken care of him, herself, silently wanting to prove to me that she was capable of surviving without me.

Still, I had no one else I had slept with. I picked my phone and dialed Roger’s Phone.

“Yes Alpha?” He asked as he picked on the third ring.

“Find out also, if Inara was ever Pregnant or ever had a child.” I said.

I had to get to the bottom of this. The mystery behind why she thought I hated her and wanted Revenge on her, the reason why she hated me so much.

And the Birth mother of Jeremy.
