POV: Inara Wells.

I woke up on Monday morning feeling refreshed and ready to take on a new week. Last week had been a successful investigation and I was proud of myself for the hard work I had put in. As I got dressed, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction as I thought about how far I had come in my career.

I got into my car and made my way to work, turning on some upbeat music to psyche myself up for the day ahead. As I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed my boss, Mr. Johnson, waiting for me. He looked serious, and I wondered what was going on.

"Good morning, Inara," Mr. Johnson said as I approached him.

"Good morning, Mr. Johnson. Is everything alright?"

"Yes, everything's fine. I just wanted to give you this." He handed me a pale yellow envelope with no return address.

I looked at the envelope suspiciously. "What is it?"

"It's from Declan. The same guy that has been sending Numerous Letters, for over a year now." Mr. Johnson said, his expression neutral. And I sighed. “Answer him, and if you don’t want to, find a way to tell him to stop sending you letters. It is becoming embarrassing.” Mr Johnson said and I smiled.

I felt a knot form in my stomach as I took the envelope from him. Kicking me out of his life and Pack seven years ago, had been something I had never expected from him and I had still not forgiven him for it. I had moved on with my life and built a career for myself, but I still hated his guts and had no interest in hearing from him.

“Aye aye Captain. Thanks, I'll take a look at it," I said, trying to keep my voice steady.

As I made my way to my office, I couldn't help but wonder what Declan could possibly want after all this time.“Good morning.” I greeted my co-workers and they flashed smiles at me, with responses. I sat at my desk and sipped from my coffee and opened my drawer, looking at the several other letters he had send to me.

As I made my way to my office, I couldn't help but wonder what Declan could possibly want after all this time. I sat down at my desk and opened the envelope, pulling out a letter and a small box.

I felt a wave of anger wash over me as I read the letter. How dare he try to waltz back into my life after what he had done to me? And what did he expect me to do with the box? I opened it, and inside was a delicate silver necklace.

I felt my blood boil as I realized what the necklace meant. It was the same necklace he had given me when we first started dating, and he had taken it away from me when he kicked me out of his life.

The nerve of him to think that a simple piece of jewelry could make up for the years of pain and heartache he had caused me.

Just then, my phone rang, interrupting my thoughts. It was my best friend, Mia.

"Hey, girl! How was your weekend?"

"It was good, Mia. But something weird happened this morning."

"What happened?"

"I got a letter from Declan."

Mia gasped. "Oh my God, what did it say?"

"He wants me to forgive him and take him back. And he sent me a necklace that he took away from me when he kicked me out of his life."

Mia groaned. "That asshole has some nerve."

"I know, right? I can't believe he would even try to contact me after what he did. And the necklace just makes me angry. How dare he think that a piece of jewelry can make up for all the pain he caused me?” I said, and then I saw Mr Johnson tap on the door. “ I gotta go now girl. I’ll give you a call later, when I am free, Alright.” I said and ended the call. “Yes, Mr Johnson.” I answered.

“Some people are here to see you. A young man. He said to tell you Purple moon, and it seems like he is a very important Client as Mr Matthew called me directly to ask me to take care of them.” He said and I gripped my table tightly.

“I’ll be there with them shortly.” I said with gritted teeth and picked my make up purse and rushed to the wash room. I hurriedly re-touched my make up, and let my long hair Flow. I removed my waterfall Jacket, and let  my curves show in the body hugging gown I was wearing.

Declan finally had balls to show up, and I was going to show him how much of a sexy young successful woman, I had become. And I was glad. Glad as hell.

Glad because I could shove it in his face how much of a coward and an unlucky man he’d been to throw me aside.

I walked into the Newspaper room, where I had been told that he was waiting for me. I walked into the room, and saw Hardin, Declan’s best friend seated, and….a Child.

A child that looked like Declan. Fuck.. The image of Declan fucking his Mate, Jenna hard, and she gripping his clothes while moaning in pleasure, filled my head, and I gripped the door for support. My mind went back to my daughter, that Nobody had known anything about, Darcy, who had died at the age of two.

The feeling I felt seven years ago, came back washing over me, giving me goosebumps.

“Hardin.” I said slowly and he looked up and saw me.

“Inara.” He said and stood up.

“Whose child Is that? Declan’s son?” I asked and Hardin looked at the boy and nodded.

“Jeremy. This is Miss Inara Wells. Inara, this is Jeremy, Alpha Declan’s First born child.” He said and I staggered back, Anger filling me up.

What sort of Mockery was this? How dare Declan try to rile me up, by sending me his son, when my own child had died in my own fucking hands?!

My heart pounding with anger and disgust as I was sure that they had done this to provoke me. I could feel my muscles tense up, and my hands balled into fists as I struggled to maintain control over my emotions. Jenna had been a hateful person but this was an all time low for Declan.I knew they would go to any lengths to make me miserable, but I never thought they would stoop so low as to bring a child into their twisted games. The little boy in front of me was Jeremy, the son of Declan and Jenna. He was brought by Declan's Beta, Hardin, and my blood boiled as I realized this meant they were trying to manipulate me with an innocent child."Take him away," I said to Hardin, strugglin

I couldn't believe what I had just heard. Inara had always been a calm and collected person, never one to lash out at anyone, let alone kids. But that's exactly what happened. At least that was what Hardin told me."It's not like her," he said, his voice low and concerned."Inara has always been great with kids, even the ones she's never known before.""You mean to tell me that Inara lashed out at a kid? That's not like her at all," I asked."I know, that's why I'm so confused." He replied and I sighed"I know, that's what's so strange about all of this," I replied, feeling frustrated and confused."Wait a minute," I said suddenly, a note of realization creeping into my voice. "What happened before she lashed out?"“Her face drained of colour, the moment I told her that Jeremy was your son.” Hardin said and I sighed in confusion.“There’s something we still haven’t figured out yet. We need to do that, else we won’t be able to understand the reason for her lashing out.” I said and Hardi
