Zara.
I sat on the shores of the beach a little more, mainly because I enjoyed the wind in my ears. It was still so hard to swallow that Aminu's ex was in the same vicinity as us. I also knew that she probably didn't know that Kojo was Aminu's cousin and in so doing, didn't know who she was going to see here.
All in all,I felt so insecure. Nobody knew that my memories were back yet and I really didn't want to tell anyone quite yet. I was just observing until it was the right time.
My mind was still clouded with a lot of thoughts that I didn't realize Kojo coming to sit beside me until he spoke.
"Thinking much?" Kojo spoke making me turn to face him. His thick Ghanaian accent was a dead give away of who was speaking.
"Aren't we all?" I said facing the waves again.
Kojo sighed "I really don't know how to feel about this whole Tumini, Aminu situation. It's so frustrating." Kojo ranted.
"Well, at least you kinda got your revenge." I
Zara.Aminu and I were the last get to the dining table. Louis already had a glass of whiskey or scotch in hand and was talking to Tanna, Tayo was talking with Lanre who also had a glass of Scotch in hand as well. I hated seeing Lanre and I didn't know why.Teni, Lanre's sugar mummy as I liked to call her, had already left earlier because she said this was for youngsters and had nothing to do with her. This was a couples vacation, it had nothing to do with being youngsters. Sucks for Lanre though.Tiara and Kojo along with Tumini were catching up at the table. The sight of Tumini made my stomach flip. I didn't like her one bit. The nerve of her trying to get under my skin. The table was set up already probably by the resort staff, because it had a professional touch to it. But it was Tumini that cooked the food and that irked me. I just knew that she had a motive she was trying to achieve. Who in the world would be so comfortable in her shoes. She was so
Zara.Louis' question was met with a lot of surprise and whispers everywhere. It was a direct question and was indirectly warning Aminu not to make a fool of himself.Aminu chuckled and rubbed his face. "Why am I supposed to care about that. I'm engaged to the love of my entire life. I don't care about anything else except her" he said and I blushed. His words finally assured me that there would be nothing between the both of them and that he had moved on. For real."Well that settles it then" Louis said while smirking. Aminu didn't seem upset by the question."I go love oo" Tayo said and got smacked on the head by Tiara."Ow, babe" Tayo said rubbing the back of his head while we all laughed at him."Your wife is literally beside you man, and you're misbehaving" Kojo said laughing.Everyone took turns in teasing Tayo but I noticed how quiet Tumini was. She wasn't even laughing at the jokes that were being thrown aroud, her head hung l
ZaraI woke up extra early before Aminu could get up. Even with the rigors of the night I still felt extra boosted because I was going to show up and show out today.I wanted to do a little grocery shopping in order to make us some breakfast and I woke up at five just for this purpose because I didn't want anybody deliberately stealing the spotlight and shine from me.I went and immediately freshened up, putting on an Ankara playsuit that Aminu randomly saw at the mall and got me. I also put on a hat because of how unbelievably sunny it was going to get later in the day.I took some sunglasses and put on some sunscreen and was out the door. There was a particular mall in the area that was open twenty four hours and seven days a week. It was good for me so I didn't have to wait till 9am to be able to go to the mall. I also texted Aminu on where I was going so that he wouldn't be out of his mind when he finally woke up.It was seven when I finally go
ZaraEveryone who had woken up came straight to the kitchen to get their plates of food. Including Tumini. I had seen her before, she reared her ugly head into the kitchen to see if I was there or not and then scampered away. She probably thought I didn't notice her.She was wearing a very skimpy and provocative outifit. It irked me a lot because she was a very fleshy and curvy individual with lots of ass and boobs as opposed to me who was slim thick. I noticed she was trying to hard to get Aminu's attention which wasn't ever going to happen. She took her food from Lanre while eyeing me and then turned around to go to the dining table where the others were.I breathed out, trying to channel my energy to positivity before I did something I would regret."Is everything alright baby" said Aminu, who was all the while facing me on the kitchen counter.I forced a fake smile "I'm splendid. Absol
Zara.I stormed down the hallway towards Tumini's and Kojo's room. She was delusional if she thought that she was going to successfully come into my house and turn my fiancee against me. She would had to leave before the party was over.Just before I got to my destination. Tiara came out of her room and almost bumped into me. I fell back, a little bit stunned because I wasn't expecting that. Tiara held my shoulders."Zara, hey. What's wrong and where are you marching to?" He nasal one sprang forth.I knew i looked dangerous because the way I was panting like I had ran eight hundred miles."I'm going to give Tumini a piece of my mind" I said and moved to brush past her but she held me tightly."Hey hey hey. No, no, no. No matter what, you're not doing that right now t least." Tiara said holding me back."But she.." I said but Tiara cut me off."I know she's been doing things. I know but it wouldn't be wise to do that. Let's go i
ZaraI met with Tanna on the patio and we sat there waiting for Tiara to show up. I had already called one of the workers to get the boat ready. I would have told Aminu but we weren't on speaking terms right now.I had told Tanna already about the situation with Aminu and how we weren't speaking to each other. "I never imagined that you guys would fight like this. I mean, you're like the air he breathes." Tanna said."Well I thought that we were on the same page, apparently not." I replied sadly, looking down at my nails."Don't worry, he'll realize that he's messed up soon. Just continue doing what you're doing" she said and I nodded."So how's it going with Louis. Have you guys sealed the deal yet?" I asked with a small knowing smile. Her face fell "actually, its now much more complicated than before. I've decided to just let it be. Let him do him. I never thought in a m
Zara."I don't understand. You guys are talking like you are sure that I was innocent" Tumini said with a confused look on her face. I smirked. She didn't know that we knew that Jasmine set her up. She probably didn't even know that she was set up."Yeah we are. You don't know?" Tiara said while I was still contemplating on whether to tell her or not.Tumini frowned while Tanna sipped her champagne. She couldn't be bothered. "Know what?" Tumini asked.I rolled my eyes "obviously you know that Jasmine set you up right?" I said. I knew there was no way that she could have known being that she had little to no contact with Aminu and his friends for two years. I felt like since Jasmine didn't attack without warning you to leave a man that's not hers and threatening you, she should have known it was her."What?" Tumini exclaimed in shock.I rolled my eyes again. Was she that stupid? It was obvious. That was the only person who was against her wit
Zara. The water filled me as I struggled to get back to the surface even though I couldn't swim, but I didn't want to die. I tried and tried, clawing at the water with all my might but I couldn't levitate myself to the surface. My chest became tighter as my air began to diminish. It wasn't until the surface became far away that I realized that I was now sinking. My eyes began drooping shut as I felt my consciousness leave me. I shouldn't have taken of the life jacket. The next think I saw was the captain over me while I fervently coughed and water sprouted out of my mouth. I panted and gasped for air as I levitated my body up from its position in the boat."Oh my God, thank the heavens that you're okay Zara." Tanna exclaimed coming to hug me. Her cheeks were stained with tears, she had been crying."We were so worried. You can't swim" Tiara said hugging me as well. The culprit who pushed me into the water intentionally in the first place was
Aminu. Previously... "Ma'am this is from Mr Garba" he said and gave me a card. "What's that?" Tanna asked. I opened it and smiled "aww it's a note" "Aww. Read it out" she said. So curious for gossip. I giggled. "To my Angel Wife, I remember the day we met. It was then that I knew that I wouldn't let you slip through my fingers. At first sight I knew that you were the one for me. I didn't care about anything else other than being with you from that moment. I just knew I wanted to see you happy. The love I feel for you is strong and eternal. My Queen, you are the light in my life, the air in my lungs. You give me purpose in every way and I am so happy you agreed to be with me forever. Your aura has consumed me and I want to bask in the light that you give for the rest of eternity. Today, we seal the deal and I just wanted to s
Zara Previously... "Sorry ma'am I didn't wasn't to keep you waiting so I had to let you in before they were done." Atafo apologised. "There's no need to apologise. I don't mind" I shrugged. Tanna who had been silent all along tapped me pointing at an armless gown she seemed to like. "That's a really cool design." Tanna said. "Feel free to move around and choose. I'll be waiting for what you decide. You can also have this notepad to write down your thoughts." He said and gave us a notepad. We began our search. The gowns on display were all breathtakingly gorgeous. I was so shook at what Atafo could actually do with those hands of his. I Was already imagining what my wedding dress would look like. "So do you have anything in mind?" Tanna asked me. "Yeah I have an idea of what I want. I want an armless dr
Zara Previously... "Do you miss Greece? We could go back soon if you want." He said taking my hand across the table. "Yeah but we will plan it this time Mimi. No surprises." I warned and he sat up, putting his hand on his chest. "Promise ma'am" he said. "Good. So what are we eating, I'm hungry." I said and took the menu. The dinner date was really fun. We had laughs and talked about everything. Also gossiped about a few of our friends. We basically dissected everything while violating table manners. But we didn't care. Once we were done with our three course meal of exquisite delicacies, as of on cue, music started to play. One of my favorite songs at the moment. Odo by Johnny Drille. "Can I have this dance ma cherie" Aminu held his hand out smiling while I laughed at something he had said earlier.
Zara. Previously... When the police man had chained him to the table and left, Patrick started laughing. "What's funny" I said frowning. "You know, I never ever thought that I would ever see you again in my life" Patrick said, still chuckling. "Well, one last time wouldn't hurt. I used to consider you my friend." I said and folded my arms. "I used to be in love with you you know. Or should I say, infatuated." Patrick said and chuckled. It seemed as though he was finding himself amusing. "I know that" I said. I surprising was not feeling any emotions right now towards him. Everything was well and okay. He didn't disgust me the way Jasmine seemed to. "Yeah and you know I didn't intend to shoot you. I'm really sorry." He said. "I just hope you don't hate me" "I don't Patrick. Have y
Zara Previously... The judge was rested back in his chair, but his face held shock and fear. Probably fear for knowing someone like Jasmine. Aminu who was sat beside me had become furious again and I stroked his arm to calm him which he was responding to well. The silence in the room was deafening for a few seconds before the judge finally spoke again. "Wow, officers, I don't know what you people are waiting for. Cuff her immediately." He said with venom in his voice. The policemen who were stationed in the courtroom went forward and cuf
Zara Previously... Your honor, my client is not guilty of the allegations on him. First of all, this child is legally his son which means he had all the right to have the boy in his custody however, the way it is being narrated is not how it happened. My client went to the Plaintiff's apartment which in his magnanimity he had given her, only to realize that she had run away from the house along with all her belongings leaving just the boy, the nanny and a letter confessing all her crimes against Mr Garba here. My client having a good heart, took the boy into his home even after finding out that the boy is not his. So your honor, this whole case is a lie and shouldn't even have been a case in the first place." My lawyer said and sat down. "Objection my Lord! There is no evidence to back his claim" Jasmine's attorney said.
Aminu. Previously... Almost a week had passed and it was finally the day that we would stand trial with the arbitrator. Aminu had pushed for it because he didn't want the stupid case to taint his brand which was the wise thing to do. The arbitrator would essentially keep everything on a low and not attract press to it. Or so I thought. I hadn't spoken to Aminu even after Tanna's intervention. Now I was ready and I was going to surprise him at the arbitrator's office. There was no way I would leave him to do this alone. I didn't tell Louis because his big mouth would tell Aminu in a heart beat. On getting to the venue for the trial, contrary to my belief, there was a swarm of press people with microphones and cameras at the doors to the building. What the hell? Who told them where it would be. I decided to hide and slip in undetected. I met a secur
Zara. Previously... "Yeah I get it. It's very nice of her though" I said and sighed, rubbing my eyes. "I really miss Zara. And Nas has been crying, he wants to see her. I'm always scared of going home to him because he'll start hounding me with questions and crying again." I said rubbing my face in frustration thinking about how sad Nasir was that Zara wasn't there. "Did he do that when he was brought to your house in the first place. Like did he cry about Jasmine?" Louis with his nosiness asked. "Not at all. It was like he didn't know the difference. Nasir for her was always a tool to use to get what she wanted so I believe they didn't have much of a relationship with each other." I said and sipped my usual glass of whiskey. "Don't worry, she'll come around" he said and his eye twitched. That was something I learnt over the years to look out for if Louis
Aminu. Previously... "Both you and Jasmine will rot in prison, I will make sure of that" I said, gritting my teeth. Anger rose in me and I had to fight of the urge to get my hands around his throat and kill him there and then. But then I had to allow the law take its course and Zara.. she wouldn't be happy with my line of action. "I've accepted my fate brother. I wish I did things better. I probably would get a life sentence or worse, be executed which I'll prefer because a life sentence is a fate worse than death. I have never asked you for anything before but I will do it now because this is a mutual need. Make sure Jasmine goes to jail or dies. That is my only wish." He said this time looking me in the eye. "That's easy. And for what it's worse. If you hadn't betrayed me and had told me about the fact that we were brothers from the onset, I would have accepted you with all the joy in the w
