My phone kept buzzing with notifications, so I had no choice but to check the messages from Harvey in front of Frank.

Harvey transferred me a million dollars as compensation. That was pretty generous of him, all things considered.

In the last five years, he'd spent less than a hundred thousand on me, while I'd bought him multiple expensive gifts that were worth hundreds of thousands in total. Thus, I had no qualms about accepting the million dollars from him.

Harvey kept apologizing to me. He also shared another piece of news. He'd reported Tiana for being the one who installed the security cameras in his house. The police had taken her into custody for about two weeks.

It was such a shame it was only for two weeks.

Fred, who'd been beside me the whole time, read all of my messages with Harvey. I had no reason to hide them from him anyway.

He seemed to have noticed my reaction and said, "If you want her to be imprisoned for longer, there's something you could do."
