Chapter 9

“Students, I, Jack Gretz, the assistant of the Dean will hereby announce that tomorrow would be your rest day, and tomorrow morning your schedule would arrive in your dorm.”

A voice rang on Soheila's ears, same to her roommates. Soheila didn't find it weird because this world is full of magic, so, it's expected that they have those kinds of things.

They guessed that it is a treasure of the Academy for them to easily passed the message to the students.

Perhaps that was the middle-aged man for stage who announced.

Soheila took a deep breath, and let out the two spirit beasts who kept on shouting for them to get out through using the spiritual contract. It was too loud as if her brain was cracked because of their shout. Soheila can't concentrate to think about her next plan, the noise is quite annoying, so, she let the two spirit beasts out.

“Ahh! Thank you, master!” Little black shouted again. He smilingly hopped of the soft bed where Soheila's sitting.

She glared at him. “You are too loud! Don't shout again using our spiritual contract! I can't concentrate, so, you better behave.”

Little Black's smile stiffened when he got scolded. He went beside Sylvie who's sitting calmly at Soheila's soft bed. He looks exactly like a pitiful child, who didn't want their parents who are angry to get angrier.

Soheila saw Little Black's state, so her eyes and voice softened. She softly said, “That will be your last time. Go have fun.”

Little Black's eyes brightened. “Thank you, Master! I promise this will be the last time. I'll be like Sylvie next time.”

Soheila smiled at Little Black and shook her head. “No, just be yourself. You don't need to be someone else just to let me feel good. Besides, I like you just the way you are.” She pinched Little Black's chubby cheeks.

Little Black smiled and nodded to his Master's advice. “Come on, Sylvie! Let's meet some new people!”

“Yes, yes, I'm coming.” Sylvie said, she looked at Soheila and said, “See you later, Master. Don't stress yourself from thinking too much.”

Soheila nodded, and just watched her two small cute little spirit beasts left her room.

“I need to go to the library tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Little Black said before that this is the famous and best Blue Moon Sect, but it was an Academy. This is why I thought Blue Moon Academy was familiar, it was in fact the Blue Moon Sect that Little Black said. An academy and a sect are way more different. Still, there has to be a library in an academy. The library would help me search a way out to this continent or help me find a clue to get out of this Continent. Although I'll get a little stronger in this Academy, it won't help me grow even stronger. And I won't build my force here, the spirit energy in this continent is too thin!” Soheila rubbed her chin as she thinks deeply.

Based on the books she read before, it is said that the Sidee Continent was a trash Continent for it has thin spirit energy. While the other continents way better spirit energy. However, she needs to find which continent will she go to. The biggest continent of the Outer Realm should be good since my goal was to go to the Upper Realm. The biggest continent would help her find sources to arrived at the Upper Realm.

“Life is really hard. I just want to sleep, eat, read, watch, and sleep, sleep, sleep.” Soheila purposely let her body fell as she felt the soft bed on her back.

She stared at the ceiling doing nothing. Not until she didn't realize that she fell asleep just by staring at the ceiling.

Meanwhile, A man in a black robe was hiding in the shadows outside Soheila's huge window. It was Peter, the handsome man's loyal subordinate whom he ordered to gather information about Soheila's identity.

“Finally, after following her for 1 month, I got a bit of information about her. I would get killed if I do not get even two pieces of information about her.” Peter whispered.

He took out a piece of paper and a pen. He wrote Soheila's plan on getting out of this continent, and how she had two spirit beasts. Of course, he added Soheila's full name which he got from checking the hologram a while ago.

“She had a unique name. Should I add how she's good at cooking?” Peter whispered again, afraid if Soheila could hear his voice from outside her window.

“Nevermind, I should write it also.”

After writing everything he found out about Soheila's identity, he put the piece of paper on his left palm and he raised his right hand on top of the paper as he gestured a star shape. When he gestured the star shape, the paper released a black fire that made the paper disappear.

In a dark place, a man stood in front of the residence full of fresh blood of a human. The man's black clothes were covered in blood that wasn't even his became darker.

He had an evil smirk hang on his handsome face. Such long eyelashes in the man's face made women jealous if they saw it. He also had bright bloody eyes that can make it hard to breathe if you look at it. It was gorgeous red eyes, but at the same time, it was dangerous. His dark eyebrows were perfect that match his unrivaled appearance, a kissable red lips that is tempting, pointed nose. This man's clothes were wet due to the blood that makes them more fitted. His perfect refined shoulders were visible, the muscles of his body as well were visible. Also, the man had eight-pack abs!

There's such a man that every woman dreamt of and wanted to get closer to. But he had a terrible aura, it was an intimidating aura that a normal human could die if they sense it.

If Soheila saw this man, she would recognize him. He was the one she had saved back then in the forest. The handsome man that she had saved.

Suddenly, a black fire appeared right in front of the handsome man's eyes. The handsome man reached out the black fire that made the paper that his loyal subordinate used. He read what's on the paper that made his evil smirk into a real smile. That smile could melt every person's heart without any fear. Instead, it would make their hearts warm from that smile. There was really this kind of side in this dangerous man.

“Woman, we will meet soon after I kill the disobedient rats.” The handsome man's husky and deep voice was so soothing to anyone's ears that would want them to hear it often.

“I will finish early, woman, I mean Soheila. When we meet you have to remember my name and that is...” He crushed the paper before he said,

“Theodore.”

Meanwhile, in Soheila's dorm, the two spirit beasts ran to the living room as they could feel that the five new were there.

As expected, the two spirit beast saw them talking with Sirene on a long sofa while the others are on the other sofa.

“Sirene, what are your attributes? Mine is light, ice, wind.” Hector asked Sirene.

“Wow! You got two rare elements! Well, I got fire, wind, and water. How about you, Mr. Harter?” Sirene looked at Maximo who's just listening to them the whole time.

“Light, water, wood,” Maximo answered Sirene.

Sirene's eyes brightened. “A light element, too! Amazing!”

“Mine is Fire, wind, wood. Almost like yours except the wood.” Zachary said so Sirene as he felt her questioning gaze at him.

“Cool! How about you, Luna and Ezekiel?” Sirene asked casually.

Maximo's left brow lift when he heard how Sirene didn't call Luna and Ezekiel by their surnames. He stared at Sirene who's looking at Luna and Ezekiel with her adorable questioning look.

“Ice, water, wood,” Luna answered first.

“Lighting, fire, water. Also, almost the same as yours.” Ezekiel glance at Sirene when he heard that Luna was done.

“You guys had great attributes. Lighting is also rare, you're lucky! Luna's attributes are cool, too!” Sirene said with her bubbly attitude.

They could say that Hector, Zachary, and Sirene was the talkative one in the dorm. It was good, and that didn't make them bored.

Suddenly, a cute small voice shouted from their behind.

“Sirene! Sirene, my Master's friend!” Little Black excitedly shouted. He went straight in front of Sirene, he is small so he lifts his head to greet Sirene properly.

Such a cute black hamster!

“Ahh, Little Black! It's nice to see you again! Come here, hug me.” Sirene buried Little Black on her chest, not minding everyone's stare at her. Sylvie who is always calm sat right beside Sirene.

“Sirene, nice to see you again.” Unlike Little Black's childish manner, Sylvie was like an adult who was always calm as if she had not once got angry or annoyed. But has a cute soft voice that matches her soft small body that is covered with pure white soft fur, also, her big black sparkling eyes that looks adorable. Sylvie looks like royalty from her elegant aura and to her calm and mature manner.

“Sylvie! Hello, there you little fox!” Sirene rests Little Black on her lap, and pinch Sylvie's chubby cheek slightly.

Sirene forgot that the five birds were still there as she focused only on Soheila's spirit beast. Not until Zachary coughs twice to get her attention.

He hesitated at first, but said, “Should we go now?”

Sirene was embarrassed that her cheeks became slightly red. She said, “Oh, right! Sorry, I forgot. By the way, these two are Soheila's spirit beast, Little Black, and Sylvie.”

“Hey! I'm Little Black! My Master named that to me.” Little Black introduced himself.

“I'm Sylvie. Glad to meet you, my Master's roommates.” Sylvie formally introduced herself.

“Sylvie, not Little White?” Hector asked.

“Yes,” Sylvie answered shortly.

“Wait, it's you! The vendor!” Little Black exclaimed while pointing his small hand at Hector.

Hector put his hand on his chin as he trying to remember if he met them before. All of a sudden, he pointed his finger also to Little Black, and said, “You were on Soheila's shoulder that time, while the white fox was on the ground.”

Little Black's eyes twinkled. “Yep, yep!”

“Nice to see you again. By the way, these are my friends and soon to be your Master's friends.” Hector one by one introduced all of them except Sirene.

“But since Soheila was your contracted master, you guys should have heard us introducing awhile ago,” Hector said while smiling at them.

“Yes, your right.” Sylvie, the calm fox, confirmed Hector's statement.

Luna who's beside Sirene was staring at the cute two furball little spirit beasts with her twinkling eyes. Sirene noticed it and gave Little Black who's on her lap to Luna.

Luna's eyes light up, and patted Little Black gently. She did not notice that Sirene and the four birds are watching her.

Sirene chuckled. “Looks like Luna is fond of small animals.”

“I never knew you like animals so much.” Zachary teased Luna.

Luna's hand that's patting Little Black gently stiffened. She raised her head, and blush from shyness was visible on her exquisite face. Her appearance was adorable, and it is their first time to see her like this.

Sirene couldn't help herself pinch Luna's chubby cheeks. “Aww, cute.”

Luna's face became redder from that statement that made them laugh.

Standing on the corner, Soheila who was finally awake watched the whole scene. She was right! Luna seemed to be cold, but she wasn't.

Soheila shrugged her shoulders and came back to her room. She wants peace and didn't want to disturb them.

When she entered her room, she took out the big map that she and Sirene got from the teacher back then.

Soheila sat on a chair beside her soft bed to analyze the map properly.

“So, the library was near the dorm. That's good, I didn't need to walk further just to reach the library. The library seems to be huge, so, it has more chances that I could get information although, it will take more time. Maybe I should visit tomorrow instead of after tomorrow. The dorm is on the left side while on the right side is where the gymnasium at. In the center, the map shows that it looks like it was a place full of grass that had a bunch of benches. They are also a garden full of flowers, and common herbs. Next time I'll visit the garden, I wanted to see what flowers and herbs are there. In front of the center, there's a huge residence that looks like where the Dean and the workers live. I should stop for a moment and cultivate now, I don't want to waste time. I have no time for being lazy, but I really wanted to sleep, sleep, sleep, rest, and more sleep. Still, I have to cultivate.”

Soheila crossed her legs together as she put her right palm above her left palm without making them stick together. After that, she cleared her mind and focused on her heartbeat. She absorbs the spirit energy that makes her heart turn into a bright light that can only be seen by others.

Focusing on the heartbeat is one method for cultivation. The other one is focusing on the mind. It won't make your head turn into a bright light if you used that method, but it's a bit slot to absorb spirit energy.
