And now there is nothing.

Just… silence.

I close my eyes, hoping my mind can conjure up Raven like it always did when I needed him, but there is nothing… just heartache.

After I stop shaking like a leaf because of the cold shower, I manage to fall asleep. I wish I didn’t, for nightmares of Caleb being hurt haunt my sleep, and I wake up screaming. My throat feels raw, and I wonder how long I have been screaming.

The door opens, and Kevin and Holgar rush inside.

“It was just a nightmare,” I say, as they search the room for possible threats. “I am sorry for worrying you.”

Kevin nods. “Tatiana is waiting for you in Caleb’s office.”

I jump out of bed, thinking she has news of Caleb, forgetting I only have a towel wrapped around me. Kevin turns his back to me, shielding my body from Holgar’s gaze. Not that they can see anything, the towel covering almost everything, but I appreciate them not being creeps.

“You might want to put on some clothes first,” he says, as Holgar steps outside the ro
