My dad even tried multiple times to force my mom to get an abortion, but she refused. His attitude toward her just got colder and colder.

The staff followed his lead. They were still polite to me, but they treated my mom with increasing disrespect.

Then one day, Megan mopped the floor and deliberately poured extra detergent everywhere, causing my mom to slip and fall. She lost the baby.

After that, my mom’s health, already fragile, went downhill fast. She never recovered.

Seeing her in that state, my dad sneered and said, “You look half-dead. It’s disgusting,” before abandoning her entirely.

He never set foot in her room again.

When my mom passed away, she was still clutching a family photo of the three of us and a little stuffed toy.
