Damon’s P.O.V.Mila’s wolf was absolutely magnificent, she always tells me how amazing Axel is, and how much she loves us, but I never imagined in my wildest dreams that Tae would be as stunning as she is, as soon as we saw Mila shift into Tae, Axel was doing flips. He was happy beyond measure. She was all over dark grey, the perfect contrast to Axel, and her eyes, where as Axel’s are dark like sapphires, Tae’s were purple! They glistened like amethysts in the moon, she truly was a gift from the goddess if not a goddess herself.I knew what I had to do; I’ve been planning it now for over a week. I had been back and forth trying to think of the perfect gift for her, every year I go all out, from trips to the city, a huge surprise party, tickets to her favorite concerts, new cars, all of it. But this year it needed to be special, this was the first year she was my mate, it had to be as perfect as she is. And that’s when it came to me, the perfect gift. “Chris, Brad! I’m gonna need your
Damon’s P.O.V.My blood was boiling, I didn’t know who this son of a bitch was, but I knew exactly what he wanted. Mila. He couldn’t take his eyes off her. My baby. MY MATE. Before I knew it me, Chris and Brad have all already shifted into our wolves. We were not allowing this. How did he get passed the border, why did he have no scent, what the fuck did he want with peach? He wasn’t getting her, over my dead body was he allowed to be anywhere near her. I took my place as Alpha between the threat of this new stranger and my Luna, he didn’t even flinch. I gave him a warning growl, and the lads echoed it through the meadow, he looked up at me, and smirked. ‘That son of a bitch!’ I thought to myself, Axel and I couldn’t take it anymore, we lunged for him, we were going to find and destroy him. I would kill him no matter what it took!We raced into the woods after him, I heard a scream a mile away and I knew it was Mila, but I couldn’t let that distract me, I knew she was in no danger the
Mila’s P.O.V.It had been a few weeks now since the incident with the stranger, and the entire pack was in on the investigations of who he was, and how he managed to slip by unnoticed, and then there was the question of exactly how I ended up cursed and by whom. Damon was fiercely protective of me, a lot more than usual, not even Ebony managed to get close to me without a growl or two. But he was getting better, relaxing more as the days went by, and today was special. Today was the mating ceremony. To say I was nervous was an understatement, what if I screwed up, what if it didn’t go well, what if I wasn’t good enough. I essentially would be having sex in front of an entire audience, it was perfectly natural for this, a sort of royal ceremony for alpha’s who find their mates. Our parents did one too, although I don’t remember it at all, I just remember the feeling after it was all said and done, after the marked themselves, the entire pack benefits from a strong relationship between
Damon’s P.O.V.Another perfect weekend passed us by, each one seemed quicker than the last. Me and Mila are official now, officially official. The mating ceremony was perfect, we were announced the future Alpha and Luna of the pack and congratulated by all. I honestly couldn’t think of anything that would ruin it.“Good morning Luna” I love ‘peach’ but I think Luna might be my favorite nickname, I smile at Mila, she is radiant. “Good morning Alpha” oh my heart soared at those words coming from her, she knew it, not only could we now sense each other’s feelings, but I was sure her wolf instincts could feel my heart pounding. “Ready for another day of complete and total torture? Otherwise known as school…” I asked her playfully, it was true, another Monday meant another day of school but honestly I just wanted to lay here with her in my arms forever. “Oh I don’t know Alpha. I’m not sure I could ever cope leaving our bed, I might die by the very thought of it!” she giggled, but I did not
Mila’s P.O.V.While the boys were busy with Alpha Marcus me and Ebony decided to go for a walk ‘just going for a walk with Ebony babe, I won’t be too long and don’t worry we won’t go outside the pack grounds’ I thought I had better let Damon know where we were going or he would have a tantrum ‘Okay peach, stay where you can be seen, a couple of warriors are going to stay with you – at a distance before you get mad, but please, for me’ humph, I sighed, I didn’t like feeling like I needed a baby sitter, but I understood Damon’s worries. ‘Fine…’ I replied. ‘That’s my girl’.We got a little way round when we came to the courtyard, it was back to its old self, how it was before the ceremony took place, it was circular, and had chairs and tables around the outside for people to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet, there was grass and trees in the middle, they were covered in little white blossoms, and their petals fell and covered the grass like cotton, and white lanterns hung from the trees,
Mila’s P.O.V.I woke up nice and early today, usually I would be running down the hall and barging in to see Ebony and wish her a happy birthday, but since her conversation with Brad last week they have been inseparable, and goddess knows what I might walk in on. So instead after my own morning of fun, me and Damon went down to make a birthday breakfast, there were some birthday traditions which would always be the same and one of Ebony’s favorites was having the boys over for birthday breakfast, two down – one to go.Chris turned up right on time the same as he did every year, Brad was usually a little late but seeing as he hasn’t left the pack house all week this year he had no excuse, a mix of fruit, cheeses, pastries, fried eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, tomatoes, toast all the trimmings for the perfect breakfast were laid out on the table, I decorated with black and gold balloons, and we were all standing by with party poppers. We heard footsteps approach ‘we are on our way now’ B
Mila’s P.O.V.A few days had passed now since the night of Ebony’s birthday and the realization she had no wolf. She was still fragile, but in her usual way she made sure that everyone else was well taken cared of before herself. “Good morning Luna Mila, how are you today?” she said, with the brightest smile, “ha-ha and since when do you call me Luna Mila, and why so formal? But to give you an answer I am very well thank you Ebony and yourself?” she made me laugh, I’m not sure why she was suddenly so formal but I was happy to see her smiling, she walked close to me and whispered in my ear “your mother and Alpha Marcus are in a meeting with Elder Rolf, and a few others I don’t recognize, I’m not sure why they are here but it must be very important”. Elder Rolf? Elder Rolf is Alpha Marcus’ grandfather and Damon’s great grandfather, but he rarely visits. He still lives on pack grounds but as far away from the business as you can imagine. ‘Mila, Damon, would you both please come to the of
Mila’s P.O.V.The next morning I woke up far too early, the fear that I felt knowing Damon would be leaving for a few days was uncharacteristic for me, I blamed the mark. I knew he would be perfectly safe, and I knew deep down he would never allow another she-wolf anywhere near him, still I couldn’t shake the feeling that him leaving was a terrible idea. “I know you’re awake Mila”, caught red handed. “Mila, it’s going to be okay, I don’t like this anymore than you do peach, believe me. But it is for the best, and it’s still not safe for you to travel” Damon was trying to hide his own fears, but it was no good. The mate-bond was strong between us, and there was no hiding our feelings from the other. “I know, and I would only get in the way I’m sure, I just… I just wish it wasn’t necessary”. I spent the rest of the morning helping Damon pack a few essentials before we went down to breakfast.“Good morning lovebirds! And more lovebirds!” Chris was as cheerful as ever, the whole room was
Chris’s P.O.V.I didn’t like this newcomer. Sister or not, Narcia had told me the stories of her old life, her life even before Jett and it wasn’t always pleasant. The lies, secrets, betrayals, not one of her family tried to reconcile with her after the incident where she saved my fathers life. But still, she was a ridiculously kind soul, and she and Astrid had been in the garden talking for hours now. “What could she possibly have to say that could redeem her actions!” I was pacing back and forth impatiently. Mila and the others were busy putting the lounge back to normal. They had made so much effort to give Ness the perfect hen do, in two days time she would be walking down the aisle to me, making my dreams come true, and now this woman has arrived and will likely spoil everything. “Chris you need to calm down, she IS Narcia’s sister after all and if she wants to give her a chance to explain herself then it is up to us to support her through that. She asked for space, so space is
Narcia’s P.O.V. The girls had dragged me back to the pack house, they blind folded me and giggled away merrily. “Can you see? How many fingers am I holding up and you better not lie to me because I will know?!” Mila warned. “Mila I can’t see a thing so I definitely cannot see how many fingers you are holding up!” I laughed at her, “good, because I wasn’t holding up any!” she laughed back. I heard footsteps approaching, “okay Ness.. are you ready?” I recognized Ebony’s voice a little further away from us. I started to get butterflies in the pit of my stomach. Who knew what I was in for? “TA DAH!” The girls both shouted together, once again allowing my eyes to do their job, it was breathtaking. The lounge area had been transformed, who knew it could look so special. Where there were once dark wooden panels on the walls, they were now draped in beautiful white silk. Little fairy lights were hung all around the ceiling of this new tent like space, the sofas had all been removed and repla
Narcia’s P.O.V. I spent the rest of the weekend doing little jobs here and there, Mila and Ebony were so excited for the wedding they decided to take on the majority of the planning themselves which suited me fine in all honestly, I didn’t fancy the stress of planning my own wedding. Mila’s was different I just thought of ideas and Ebony found the resources. Every now and then I would find myself just staring at my ring, it was beautiful and the fact it was a family heirloom only made it all the more special. Ever since that night at the school Chris has barely left my side, I couldn’t blame him. Even I thought for a moment that I might run away from it all, I am constantly battling with the feeling that he would be so much better off in the world without me. But then the idea of him leaving me invades my mind, and the overwhelming sadness I feel just from the thought of it is too much to bare, if those feelings were even remotely close to how Chris would feel without me, then it woul
Narcia’s P.O.V.What had I done? I’ve ruined everything. One minute I was stood enjoying all the atmosphere of elated students graduating and celebrating and the next I’ve lost control of myself, and ready to murder two young girls! I was a monster. I looked at Chris while in my delirium, the look of shock and fear on his face was too much to bare. But I couldn’t stop. Something inside me wouldn’t let these girls get away with what they had done. I was never the jealous one between me and Chris, but when I saw that thing lock lips with him something inside me changed, he pushed her away which should have been enough for me. But it just wasn’t. I needed to teach her a lesson. I wanted to tear her limb from limb, to gauge her eyes out with a spoon! But the witch inside me preferred a less physical torture, I just inflicted pain inside her instead, no real cause of it, there was nothing she could do to stop it because it was all in her mind, it was the same spell I had used on Mila once
Narcia’s P.O.V.The day of graduation had come. I was back on my feet much quicker than anyone had liked, but I knew my body. And I was fine. Chris always made such a fuss, “I really think you should just stay home with Mila and Zachie. No one would think any different of you for it and I would feel happier knowing you are resting and safe!” Chris called through from the bedroom to the bathroom, I ignored him. He had been badgering me all morning about not pushing myself. “Luna Talia gave me a clean bill of health, I know my own body. I am fine Christopher and I will NOT be missing your big day. Now help me with my dress please…” I exited the bathroom and walked towards my love, he was dressed and ready to go already, he had a navy blue suit, and silver tie, his hair was brushed and styled neatly, and his graduation gown and cap were placed neatly at the end of the bed. I would be the only member of our group not in a graduation gown, high school wasn’t exactly a right of passage for
Chris’s P.O.V.We spent a couple of hours with Zachie, playing in the meadow, showing him the different feel of things, flowers, stones, trees, the river, he loved the outside world almost as much as Ness did. But before long his appetite was getting the better of him, so we took him home. I carried him pretty much the whole way and every now and then I caught a glimpse of Narcia smiling at us. “What are you thinking?” I asked her. “Nothing much. Just how perfect you look right now” she confessed, blushing furiously. I stuck my tongue out at her and continued on the path home. When we arrived back, Mila was sitting in Damon’s lap and Ebony was still fully immersed into her book. The sound of Zachie’s hungry cries alerted everyone to our presence, Mila immediately shot up and ran over to us, “is everything okay? He’s crying.. did something happen?” she said worriedly. “No Mila he’s fine, just a hungry pup again!” Narica giggled. We were all settling down when Alpha Marcus made an appea
Chris’s P.O.V.The next few months went by slowly, we saw the new year in with Mila, Damon and baby Zachie. He grew bigger every day, slowly bringing us all together again. Ebony was softening, gradually turning back into the girl we all knew before Mila’s kidnap. Brad was happier, more relaxed knowing that Ebony wasn’t going to lose her temper at any moment, and Narcia was finally starting to see herself as a valued member of the pack, she helped Talia a lot with different healing potions and ointment, her magic kept the entire pack in peak condition, they were always so happy and full, the elderly members no longer tired and feeble, they were enlightened, energetic almost. The young ones were less rowdy, they had much better self-control over their tempers, there was still the odd unmated wolf who tried to get a little too close to Narcia for my liking, but I too had better control over my emotions, I would give them a swift warning shot, and they would back down quickly. Every day
Narcia’s P.O.V.The world had stopped around us, one minute I was contemplating why on earth Chris would want to have a baby with the likes of me, and the next there was pain. Hurt. I felt the blood drain from my face, I knew who that pain belonged to… it was Mila. “NARCIA! TALIA!” Damon was screaming for us, me and Chris ran through the crowds of people who had gathered around Mila and Damon, she had buckled at the knees and fell to the floor, her glass of tonic in pieces all around us, Damon helped her stand back up and her dress, once a beautiful pure white, now looked more like my own. Blood was dripping down her legs and onto the floor, the hem of her dress dragging through the puddle that now surrounded her, Damon picked her up and carried her back to the house, “ahhh something is wrong.. Narcia! Help me. Mum please! He needs to come out now. He’s dying” She started sobbing, she was frightened and so was I. But me and Luna Talia had been planning for her labor, we didn’t expect
Narcia’s P.O.V.Time went by, the autumn leaves withered and wilted. Eventually the trees were bare, and the mornings we cold and crisp. The whole pack had been filled with the excited buzz of Mila and Damon’s upcoming wedding. With everything that had happened this past year and Mila’s belly growing bigger every day, they decided they would rather have the wedding sooner, while it was still just the two of them. December came around, the winter snow started to fall and every day gone was another day closer to the wedding, and the imminent arrival of the baby. I had spent as much time with Mila as I could, helping her with different tonics and potions to help with her ever growing list of pregnancy ailments, her bump was large, even for a wolf, and even the simplest of tasks for Mila required more effort than she had spare. The day before the wedding was spent pampering her, taking her mind off of everything and just letting her be the blushing bride and happy mother-to-be. I too was
