Narcia’s P.O.V.What had I done? I’ve ruined everything. One minute I was stood enjoying all the atmosphere of elated students graduating and celebrating and the next I’ve lost control of myself, and ready to murder two young girls! I was a monster. I looked at Chris while in my delirium, the look of shock and fear on his face was too much to bare. But I couldn’t stop. Something inside me wouldn’t let these girls get away with what they had done. I was never the jealous one between me and Chris, but when I saw that thing lock lips with him something inside me changed, he pushed her away which should have been enough for me. But it just wasn’t. I needed to teach her a lesson. I wanted to tear her limb from limb, to gauge her eyes out with a spoon! But the witch inside me preferred a less physical torture, I just inflicted pain inside her instead, no real cause of it, there was nothing she could do to stop it because it was all in her mind, it was the same spell I had used on Mila once
Narcia’s P.O.V. I spent the rest of the weekend doing little jobs here and there, Mila and Ebony were so excited for the wedding they decided to take on the majority of the planning themselves which suited me fine in all honestly, I didn’t fancy the stress of planning my own wedding. Mila’s was different I just thought of ideas and Ebony found the resources. Every now and then I would find myself just staring at my ring, it was beautiful and the fact it was a family heirloom only made it all the more special. Ever since that night at the school Chris has barely left my side, I couldn’t blame him. Even I thought for a moment that I might run away from it all, I am constantly battling with the feeling that he would be so much better off in the world without me. But then the idea of him leaving me invades my mind, and the overwhelming sadness I feel just from the thought of it is too much to bare, if those feelings were even remotely close to how Chris would feel without me, then it woul
Narcia’s P.O.V. The girls had dragged me back to the pack house, they blind folded me and giggled away merrily. “Can you see? How many fingers am I holding up and you better not lie to me because I will know?!” Mila warned. “Mila I can’t see a thing so I definitely cannot see how many fingers you are holding up!” I laughed at her, “good, because I wasn’t holding up any!” she laughed back. I heard footsteps approaching, “okay Ness.. are you ready?” I recognized Ebony’s voice a little further away from us. I started to get butterflies in the pit of my stomach. Who knew what I was in for? “TA DAH!” The girls both shouted together, once again allowing my eyes to do their job, it was breathtaking. The lounge area had been transformed, who knew it could look so special. Where there were once dark wooden panels on the walls, they were now draped in beautiful white silk. Little fairy lights were hung all around the ceiling of this new tent like space, the sofas had all been removed and repla
Chris’s P.O.V.I didn’t like this newcomer. Sister or not, Narcia had told me the stories of her old life, her life even before Jett and it wasn’t always pleasant. The lies, secrets, betrayals, not one of her family tried to reconcile with her after the incident where she saved my fathers life. But still, she was a ridiculously kind soul, and she and Astrid had been in the garden talking for hours now. “What could she possibly have to say that could redeem her actions!” I was pacing back and forth impatiently. Mila and the others were busy putting the lounge back to normal. They had made so much effort to give Ness the perfect hen do, in two days time she would be walking down the aisle to me, making my dreams come true, and now this woman has arrived and will likely spoil everything. “Chris you need to calm down, she IS Narcia’s sister after all and if she wants to give her a chance to explain herself then it is up to us to support her through that. She asked for space, so space is
Mila’s P.O.V.Wolfsbane. A silver bullet, laced with wolfsbane. “This is it Mila, this is where we die” I thought to myself. “Don’t you dare give up on me Mila, we have come too far for this” Tae said to me, she was my wolf, and she was mighty. Much more than I ever deserved. “MILA!!! Don’t you dare leave me Mila, don’t you dare die on me. You CANNOT LEAVE ME. I WON’T LET YOU!” This voice was familiar, I tingled at the sound, like a choir on Christmas day. This man, was mine. But it was too late, I was doomed for sure. One year earlier. It was another glorious day, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and my brother was punching me in the arm for the tenth time that day.Damon, my brother – well step brother actually, was the future Alpha of the Steelfang pack in the East coast. We were the largest, most fearsome pack in all the local lands. Not to say we were brutal or deadly, but we were strong, happy and just. Alpha Marcus was the kindest most loyal leader that Steelfang h
Damon’s P.O.V.‘Chill the fuck out Damon, chill the fuck out’ I knew my brain was right, I was totally overreacting, but I had to find her. It drove me mad every time Mila was somewhere that I didn’t know about, she knew this too, she just took it as the overprotective brotherly side to me, but I knew the truth, I loved the woman. She was everything to me, my whole body went rigid when I couldn’t find her, she was my mate. She just didn’t know it yet.“Chris have you seen Mila?” I shouted across the meadow. The meadow was Mila’s favorite place and because of that it was mine too, we went there often. I wanted nothing more than for her to be happy all of the time. “Where the fuck is she then?!” Axel was going mad inside my head, he was my wolf. And he craved Mila more than I did, ‘we need to find her Damon! She’s missing! What if some other dickhead is talking to her? Touching her?’ Axel was very insistent. I was approaching my 18th birthday which meant that Axel would soon make his fi
Mila’s P.O.V.Beep, beep, beep. Eugh, wolves are not early risers, and I am absolutely no exception to that rule. But school requires us to arrive at a certain time. You’d think a school full of wolves would have a later start time. I rub my eyes to let the light in a little bit at a time, feeling like a vampire in the sun, and realize I am actually in my bed ‘Damon’ my mind smiled, it always happens, every movie night, I fall asleep in his arms and he puts me to bed, and then I wake up for school and have to go get him up too.. I quickly pick an outfit, it’s another gorgeous day so I think short shorts, a white lace top and my favorite brown cowboy boots will be fine, a little makeup to make my eyes pop, a quick tussle of my hair and I’m done, Damon would go mad at any bloke wanting to get within 5 feet of me, but that doesn’t mean I have to look like a dump truck. I grab my bag and march out my room.Halfway up the stairs and I can hear something unfamiliar. Damon is never up this e
Damon’s P.O.V. She kissed me. She actually kissed me. Axel was practically howling to the moon goddess at this point, wondering just how we got so lucky to call Mila ours. She was perfect, I nearly killed him and she knew exactly how to bring me back to my senses. I dragged her out of school and back to the car, I even buckled her in myself so I knew she was totally safe, probably a bit overkill but I didn’t care. “So where are we off to then?” she looked at me as innocent as always, following my lead was one of her specialties. “Back home. I got a text off dad, he and mum have errands to run so they won’t be back until morning – probably silly birthday surprises”. I rolled my eyes, they were fantastic parents, and always liked to make a fuss over things like birthdays, and honestly the best gift they gave me this year was a night alone with Mila. We got home and I watched Mila walk in, damn her ass was fine. “Concentrate dude! We have to make sure she knows she is ours. You gotta c

Narcia’s P.O.V.The day of graduation had come. I was back on my feet much quicker than anyone had liked, but I knew my body. And I was fine. Chris always made such a fuss, “I really think you should just stay home with Mila and Zachie. No one would think any different of you for it and I would feel happier knowing you are resting and safe!” Chris called through from the bedroom to the bathroom, I ignored him. He had been badgering me all morning about not pushing myself. “Luna Talia gave me a clean bill of health, I know my own body. I am fine Christopher and I will NOT be missing your big day. Now help me with my dress please…” I exited the bathroom and walked towards my love, he was dressed and ready to go already, he had a navy blue suit, and silver tie, his hair was brushed and styled neatly, and his graduation gown and cap were placed neatly at the end of the bed. I would be the only member of our group not in a graduation gown, high school wasn’t exactly a right of passage for
Chris’s P.O.V.We spent a couple of hours with Zachie, playing in the meadow, showing him the different feel of things, flowers, stones, trees, the river, he loved the outside world almost as much as Ness did. But before long his appetite was getting the better of him, so we took him home. I carried him pretty much the whole way and every now and then I caught a glimpse of Narcia smiling at us. “What are you thinking?” I asked her. “Nothing much. Just how perfect you look right now” she confessed, blushing furiously. I stuck my tongue out at her and continued on the path home. When we arrived back, Mila was sitting in Damon’s lap and Ebony was still fully immersed into her book. The sound of Zachie’s hungry cries alerted everyone to our presence, Mila immediately shot up and ran over to us, “is everything okay? He’s crying.. did something happen?” she said worriedly. “No Mila he’s fine, just a hungry pup again!” Narica giggled. We were all settling down when Alpha Marcus made an appea
Chris’s P.O.V.The next few months went by slowly, we saw the new year in with Mila, Damon and baby Zachie. He grew bigger every day, slowly bringing us all together again. Ebony was softening, gradually turning back into the girl we all knew before Mila’s kidnap. Brad was happier, more relaxed knowing that Ebony wasn’t going to lose her temper at any moment, and Narcia was finally starting to see herself as a valued member of the pack, she helped Talia a lot with different healing potions and ointment, her magic kept the entire pack in peak condition, they were always so happy and full, the elderly members no longer tired and feeble, they were enlightened, energetic almost. The young ones were less rowdy, they had much better self-control over their tempers, there was still the odd unmated wolf who tried to get a little too close to Narcia for my liking, but I too had better control over my emotions, I would give them a swift warning shot, and they would back down quickly. Every day
Narcia’s P.O.V.The world had stopped around us, one minute I was contemplating why on earth Chris would want to have a baby with the likes of me, and the next there was pain. Hurt. I felt the blood drain from my face, I knew who that pain belonged to… it was Mila. “NARCIA! TALIA!” Damon was screaming for us, me and Chris ran through the crowds of people who had gathered around Mila and Damon, she had buckled at the knees and fell to the floor, her glass of tonic in pieces all around us, Damon helped her stand back up and her dress, once a beautiful pure white, now looked more like my own. Blood was dripping down her legs and onto the floor, the hem of her dress dragging through the puddle that now surrounded her, Damon picked her up and carried her back to the house, “ahhh something is wrong.. Narcia! Help me. Mum please! He needs to come out now. He’s dying” She started sobbing, she was frightened and so was I. But me and Luna Talia had been planning for her labor, we didn’t expect
Narcia’s P.O.V.Time went by, the autumn leaves withered and wilted. Eventually the trees were bare, and the mornings we cold and crisp. The whole pack had been filled with the excited buzz of Mila and Damon’s upcoming wedding. With everything that had happened this past year and Mila’s belly growing bigger every day, they decided they would rather have the wedding sooner, while it was still just the two of them. December came around, the winter snow started to fall and every day gone was another day closer to the wedding, and the imminent arrival of the baby. I had spent as much time with Mila as I could, helping her with different tonics and potions to help with her ever growing list of pregnancy ailments, her bump was large, even for a wolf, and even the simplest of tasks for Mila required more effort than she had spare. The day before the wedding was spent pampering her, taking her mind off of everything and just letting her be the blushing bride and happy mother-to-be. I too was
