Daniel's p.o.v

I stopped the car in front of the hospital and ran inside. I went directly to the receptionist for information.

After that, I went straight to the floor I was told to go to and saw dad and mom sitting on a bench in front of a room. Mom was crying and dad was consoling her.

As soon as dad saw me, he stood up. He was giving me murderous look. I lowered my eyes slowly. He stood face to face with me and threw a piece of paper on my face.

Thankfully, I grabbed it on time. It was a letter and there was Linda's name on it. The letter looked somehow similar to the one that I had sent her before our marriage. I suddenly felt the urge to open it.

Reading it, I froze on the spot. I saw my world collapsing in front of me. It was the same letter that I gave Frederick to give Linda. Dad was the one who had hidden the letter. My mind went blank at that moment.

"Take this and get out of here. Amanda told me everything that has happened. I can't believe you are my son. That poor gi

Daniel's p.o.v I was taken aback. Without losing time, I went to call the doctor and he came in a flash."Why is she behaving like this?" My heart was pounding and I hoped for a positive answer. "Mrs. Anderson, how are you feeling?" The doctor ignored me and went straight towards Linda. "I- I can't- why can't I see anything?" She asked with a shaky voice. "Sir, you will have to wait outside. We need to do some check ups." I hesitated at first but then I went outside and leaned against the white wall with my palm covering my face. Complicating things was not going to help.I hoped what I was thinking was not true. She had already suffered a lot and I did not want her to endure agony anymore. I needed to ask for forgiveness. The guilt inside of me was brutally murdering me. I was wrong. Totally wrong. How could I even do something like that? I treated her like trash. My thoughts were preoccupied by the times when I insulted her. I waited for the doctor to come out. I needed ans

Third person's p.o.vLinda stood rigidly when she heard those words. 'What the hell did he mean by he did not want a divorce?' There was no way she would proceed with the idea of staying with him. She loved him but that did not mean she would do anything that he wanted. She realised that she did too much for him and in return she only received pain and would only be gifted with that if she did not liberate herself from him. She fathomed out that her self-respect came first. Daniel had hurt her enough and letting him do that again was all in her hands. "Have you lost your mind Daniel?"Brant frowned. He was not expecting to hear from Daniel after they cleared all the confusion in the hospital. He tried to put some sense in his son's brain but it seemed like it did not work. Instead of apologising, he was willing to make Linda suffer more. "Daniel, what are you saying? I thought after revealing the truth to you, you will change your behavior towards Linda. But you are still acting t

Third person's p.o.v "I agree to stay with Daniel." Daniel stood up immediately. He was not expecting Linda to accept his proposal. Hell, he had even planned to make her stay by force. He was not ready to let her go until he was sure that he was forgiven. He looked at his father and he was beyond shocked. His upper eyelids raised and the lower one remained neutral. Daniel was bewildered at first but then a smile played on his lips. A smirk of victory actually. "Linda, do you know what you are saying, my child?" Brant asked with a raspy voice. He did not know what was playing on Linda's mind to invite her own miseries again. "Of course I do. He said that he wants to take care of me. So why not give him a chance? Everyone deserves a second chance anyway. Am I right Daniel?" The smirk on Daniel's face was wiped away harshly. He was aprise of the fact that Linda was taunting him but he did not open his mouth to say anything. He deserved that. His h

Third person's p.o.v Daniel entered the room after he completed his work. He wanted to check on Linda but the emptiness of the room surprised him. Linda should have been here. Resting. 'Where was she?' He thought. "Linda." He called her name softly. "Linda." He called out a little bit louder but still no one answered."Lin-" Just as he was about to call for the third time he heard the shower in the bathroom. Linda was in the bathroom. How did she got in there without any assistance or help? His thoughts were soon vanished when he heard a melodious voice coming out from inside. It was a hum at first but was later changed into a song. Her voice sounded so harmonious that he closed his eyes and concentrated on it. He felt himself relaxed. He did not know Linda was such an excellent singer but then how would he? He never paid attention to her nor did he care to ask her about her likes and dislikes. H

Third person's p.o.v"Hello guys.""Rose." Linda whispered. She was surprised at first but then this was what she could expect from Daniel. It was a relief for her. She was tired of being optimistic and positive to face reality. Daniel waited for Linda to react to the arrival of Rose but she did not show any emotion or expression. This made his heart sink for no reason. "Hello Linda." Rose said while taking a seat next to Daniel and kissing his cheeks. She ran her fingers sexily on Daniel's arm.Daniel froze at her actions. He removed her hand and angrily glared at her. He then looked at Linda. He thanked God that she could not see all of this. "I apologise for showing up like this and spoiling your evening but I really wanted to ask for forgiveness. I know I lied. I was blinded by jealousy. I hated you. But that was because I did not want to lose Daniel. I felt like he was going away from me. He's

Third person's p.o.v"Are you ready? Shall we go?" Daniel asked.Facing the mirror, Linda looked at Daniel through it. The only way she could stare at him without creating any doubts was through the reflecting surface. "Do you seriously want to go? I mean don't get mad. I did not want to but I unintentionally heard you talking on the phone this morning and I heard you cancelling a meeting. I can understand. We will need to attend your client's party in the evening too. I don't want you to feel tired and then complain." Linda scratched her neck nervously. She had an appointment with her doctor and disturbing Daniel was the least thing that she wanted. Who knew, he could go off the deep end like old times. "Did you wake up because of that? I should have answered the phone call in my study room. I'm so sorry."She was waiting for Daniel to yell at her and tell her to quit putting nose in his business. She was not expecting such a calm response from him. No matter how rude she was bei

Third person's p.o.vDaniel's eyes widened and he furiously held Max's collar."How dare you? She is my wife." The well built protectors of Daniel who was just standing a few meters away was now in the position to protect their master from his foe. There were guns in their hands and were directly pointed to Max. One sign from Daniel and Max would be buried underground. He did not even make an effort to stop them. Yet, instead of fearing those bodyguards, Max daringly continued to look at Daniel's eyes. He would rather face death than conquer it. "How dare I? How dare you torture her when you didn't know the truth. Do you imagine how much she suffered because of you? No husband treats his wife like a piece of shit. Just like you did."Max raised his voice. His eyes were showing pure hate. "And don't forget Linda already made it clear to you that she is with you because of her blindness. She is going to leave you after she gets her eyesight back. • Forsaken By Her Husband   Epilogue

Linda’s p.o.v ‘Our journey of love was full of ups and downs, it will be in the future as well. No marriage is perfect, but I will nevertheless make an effort to appear flawless in your eyes and you will not walk through it alone. If I make mistakes along the way, please remind me, correct me, and love me till I come to my senses. You are the only one who can guide me home. Today, I am asking you to be my date forever. For I will always choose you.’ The tears that I had been holding while reading the letter were finally out on that part. I did not know when Daniel fell so hard for me that I would actually question my love for him. Did his love beat my love for him? Whatever it was, the feeling of receiving a letter from the groom while waiting to be manifested at the altar was one of the best moments on the wedding day. I finally found my heaven on Earth and I needed nothing else. Our love won. It was bliss. I acquired so much during the few days and he was always there for me.

Third person’s p.o.v“What have you done, you freak?”She roared with trembling lips and watery eyes. She witnessed a murder and she could lose her mind. “I should have done that earlier. I loved Lilith but she was not living as per my according. I was not hitting her for pleasure, I was just giving her a correction and how I would sleep with her if she was going to be a mother. I did that because I cared for her. You remember the lake view, it was her favourite place.”“Watching you there made my heart rest. It feels like I was watching her. I even got rid of that girl Serena for you. She tried to harm you.”Linda gasped in horror. He killed Serena. He was a total psychopath and she wanted to vomit. On top of that, he had the audacity to say that he loved Lilith with that filthy mouth of his. She cursed herself badly in her mind for not recognising such a monster. He was a total devil in disguise. He made her do things that Lilith loved to keep her alive. He was sick. “Wear this.

Third person's p.o.v A calmness settled over the cemetery amid the gently swaying branches and the lovely kind of flowers. Linda kneed in front of her parents' grave. She missed them. She handed Morillo all the information that he needed a day before itself and came to seek peace near her parents today. She was going to settle for a new life and without their blessings, it would not be possible. Plus, as bizarre as it might be, she felt tranquillity in that space more than in the house. Daniel's mind was still processing her words so he did not disturb her after getting home. He went through a check-up in a clinic after the incident and shut himself in his room. She was hurting as well. After all, she still loved him but one-sided love would never be enough for a marriage. She went through it once. She had a conversation with Max as well and was relieved to know that he supported her in every decision. She sighed. Maybe she was cursed in love. Taking a glance at her watch, she b

  • Forsaken By Her Husband   chapter 70

Third person's p.o.vLinda lay down on the fresh green grass near the lake Lucas had shown her the other day. She needed some time alone for herself. Her presence counted for more than an hour. It would be a little quirky to say but she felt a connection with the place even when she first came here. Her mind continuously denied it but her heart did not. The peace of mind that she got was unbelievable. She decided to let her life go with the flow and accept all the positive things that were incoming. She was admiring the infinite sky when her mind sent her a signal to become alert as she heard fallen leaves being crunched as if people were walking on them. She stood up and hid behind one of the big trees and waited for the person to walk in. However, instead of one, she felt like there were more. She removed her shoes and tip-toed secretly to see what it was. She was surprised though. Lucas had told her that it was a secret passage. No one except her and him could experience the bea

  • Forsaken By Her Husband   chapter 69

Third person’s p.o.vLinda woke up early in the morning and the memories of the day before flashed in her mind. It was a beautiful dream that would come once in a while. Daniel apologised to her for not buying her a cake but she reassured him that she did not want that either. Her day was made special by her special person. What made it even more exceptional was the time at the beach. After they had their dessert, they heard a boy singing and playing guitar for his girlfriend. Linda found it cute and complimented their pair as well as the boy’s idea to impress his girl. Nevertheless, she did not know what took over Daniel. He approached them and exchanged his car for the guitar for one hour. Thereafter, he asked Linda her favourite song and he played the guitar while singing to her. Linda felt blessed. She did not miss her father to such an extent that would damage her emotionally. She did not get the opportunity. Unwillingly, Daniel increased the love and respect she had for him

  • Forsaken By Her Husband   chapter 68

Third person’s p.o.vLinda sat down in the movie theatre and was entertained by the film. On the other hand, Daniel sat down hiding his face at every moment he felt a jump scare would occur. While it was Linda who was supposed to be in that character, Daniel was playing that role. He gripped Linda’s hand and sometimes would hide his face behind her which would cause Linda to get annoyed. Yet, as a supportive friend, she would let him do that. After all, he had surrendered himself to her for that day. “You were such a baby.”Linda teased him while walking to the parking lot and Daniel was following her. He was still getting goosebumps. “You don’t need to remind me.”“Baby Daniel.”“Stop.” “Crying baby Daniel.”“What did you say?”At a pace, Daniel galloped in from behind her and came close to her threatening to say that again. Linda repeated and ran to their car full of laughter. She opened the door only to hear a loud bang and it was closed by a force which was eventually Daniel

Third person’s p.o.vIn the morning when Linda woke up, she received a surprise that she thought was from Daniel. Her favourite pancakes and the petals of lilies were scattered on a small table next to her bed, which elated her. Just when she was about to devour the pancakes, her eyes snapped to the person entering her room. "Good morning." "Good morning, Daniel and it's bad manners to enter someone's room before asking for permission." Linda taunted him and he rolled his eyes. "Thank you for these by the way. They are totally delicious. You have improved a lot." Linda's thankfulness threw off Daniel and he stared at her blankly. "I would love to receive your gratitude but it's not me who prepared this." Daniel took a bite and let out the word yum. On the other hand, disappointment washed over Linda. She thought Daniel cooked her a special cake for her birthday. However, with that feeling, confusion tagged along. If it was not Daniel's doing then who. "My apologies for interr

Third person's p.o.vLucas and Daniel were making their way to the girls when Lucas witnessed a hand on the surface of the pool. He analysed the place and a haze of fear surrounded him when he did not notice Linda's presence. He threw the drinks, not caring where or on whom it would end. Taking out his coat, he ran towards the pool and jumped in the water. Panic engulfed Daniel when Lucas performed those actions. He did what he needed to do and moved to the pool quickly. Terror seized him as Lucas brought the person out of the water. A half-unconscious Linda was in his arms. Blood drained from his face and he stood rooted to the ground."Lend me a hand." Only when Lucas shouted for help, he came to his senses. He pulled Linda out and held her in his arms. She was shaking from head to toe. Daniel removed his suit and covered her while Lucas got out of the pool and suggested making Linda sit on the couch above if she was comfortable and okay. Daniel sat along with Linda and provide

Third person's p.o.vDaniel kept his gaze at the entrance and did a double take when he finally saw Linda entering with her arm entangled with Lucas' arm. Her face was shining and she was looking drop-dead gorgeous. Her semi-embroidered pale-orange strapless dress highlighted her tiny waist, fitted her hips, and slightly stretched out. A less embroidered beneath cloth was seen through a side V-slit.He stood still, gaping at the woman who was making her way toward him. He had no idea why he wanted to continue looking at her.Lucas selected their masks and they directly came to him. “Hi.” Linda provided an energetic smile that radiated bright happiness. “Hi.”Daniel was affected by her affectionate smile and unwillingly blushed.
