Chapter one

“Veronica, why are you so heartless, don’t you see we are trying to save your brother”

 “am not going to marry Ryan Walker” she screamed back

“am your mother young lady and you will do as you are told”

  She walked out only for her to meet Ryan in the living room, he still has the charming look she used to dream about every night, she has always had a crush on him ever since she set eyes on him but he is looking more build and handsome. Moreover, he is now the CEO of Walker cooperation and always on the front page of the most eligible bachelor.

 “Ryan, am sorry my parent came up with such idea, I know you don’t want someone like me, we are just too desperate to save my brother life”

“I came up with the idea princess”

He still remembers the name he gave her but wait, she thinks she did not hear him right “what did you just say?”

“you heard me marry me and I will gladly save your brother life”

“Is this some kind of joke, please stop it, we need like 1.5million dollar to save him”

“I will pay for it on the condition you say goodbye to everything you ever know and you come my home to be my wife”

“what are you trying to say, you want me to stop working, how do you expect me to pay you back the money”

“I don’t want you to pay me back, that is why you will be my housewife and breed only my kids”

Her stomach somersaulted at his words and she feels some tingles all around her body “Ryan”

“you have no choice in this cause am giving you no choice, we are going to the court tomorrow”

“Ryan, you are taking my life away from me”

“you did that to be the first princess, let's just say this is the beginning of my revenge on you”

She is very confused about what he is talking about “what do you mean?”

“I will pick you up at eight tonight cause we will be having our court wedding by six tomorrow morning” he walked out of the house

She screamed on top of her lungs and that was when her parents came outside

“your wedding dress is already in your wardrobe”

“what, so this was a planned work, you all are aware of this and did not tell me but instead you went ahead to shop for my wedding dress”

“We did not shop for it honey, Ryan did”

”you know what, f*CK all of you, I hate you all”

Tears roll down her face as she left the house as walked down the street into the cafe she normally works during the day. Her friend Jeff and Tess who is also the owner of the cafe came outside to meet her

“what are you doing here Veronica?” Jeff asked with anger

“what do mean by what am I doing here”

“Ryan was here,” Tess said

”of course” she rolls her eyes “ he already said he will destroy my life also”

”what did you do to offend him dear cause all I know is that you always had a crush on him”

“Veronica, you need to leave this place now, he warned us not to let you in this place anymore else we will lose this place and you know this is all we have”

Just then Ryan entered and spot her in the front “I thought I warned you not to let her in this place again”

“back off man, as you can see she is not working, and am just talking to her cause she’s still my friend”

 “We need to go now, princess”

“can’t I say goodbye to my friends before you wife-napped me”

“is that even a word but I give you two minute to wrap things up and meet me in the front” he placed a kiss on her forehead and she wishes he can continue to hold her that way but it didn’t last as he walks out of the cafe

“ I guess I will not be seeing you guys again” she pulled them into a hug

”you are not dying Veronica and am sorry I acted stupid at first, I was just scared, he threatened us” Jeff apologized

“it's fine and I promise I will never forget the both of you”

“I love you,” Tess said

“I love you both too”

They all cried as they see her walked out of the cafe.

     She walked out of the cafe and to her surprise, he is still waiting for her but also with the paparazzi, the camera continues to flash at her with a various question which she doesn’t have the answer to but Ryan pulled her into the backseat and order the driver to drive them to her house

“what are you doing here”

“you should be thanking me for saving you from those paparazzi”

“thank you? they won't be after me if you did not come into my life”

“I don’t have time for this argument now, we are getting married today cause we are leaving this country tonight”

“okay”

“Okay, that was a surprise that you did not argue with me”

“do I have a choice”

“thank God you know that you don’t have a choice”

The remaining of the drive was quiet as he drove them home, he drops her and promise to be back to pick her up to the court she entered the house to change into her so-called wedding dress but to her surprise, she loves the dress, it was so beautiful and she looks radiant in it but of course, she was not going to admit that to anyone. She refused to talk to her parent and she went back to meet Ryan who was now dressed up in the car.

“you are looking, beautiful princess”

She chooses not to reply to him as she continue to look outside of the window.

They got to the courtroom and to her surprise everything was ready and the both of them were joined together.

“do you want to eat before we go to the airport”

“am fine” she is really hungry but she was not going to tell him that

“you haven’t eaten anything since morning princess”

“How is that your business”

“am your husband now”

He was right, she is now Mrs. Walker “I will eat only if you send my parent the money for my brother treatment”

“have done more that dear, they charge me for you also, more like they sold you off to me, here is their letter to you” he dipped his hand into his jacket to bring out a brown envelope “but let's eat first before you know how much they sell you off” he lead her to the court restaurant.

“Reservation for Mr. And Mrs. Walker”

“oh, follow me please,” the waiter said as he leads them to the VIP room and offers them a seat

“what should I offer you miss” throwing her a wink

“I will want you to be fire for calling her a miss instead of Mrs cause she is my wife and I want you arrested for flirting with her”

“Ryan, calm down”

“do you like him too”

”oh my God, I did not say that just that I wasn’t even looking at him”

”he will have already be dead if you look at him” he then faces another person “tell the manager I want another person to attend to us”

“yes sir”

It took another five minute before another person come to their table but this time around it was a lady “hello, what will you like to have”

“I want some fried spaghetti with salad and cheese” veronica answered

“what about you sir”

“I want the same along with your number” he smiles at her which caused her to blush “okay sir,” she said walking away

“what just happened Ryan”

“I ordered my food” pretending not to know what she is talking about

“When did her number turn to food?”

“what I do is none of your business my princess, your job is to have my kids”

“I lost my appetite, am not eating again” standing up from the table

“if you did not eat now, then you can say goodbye to eating food ever again cause I will make sure you don’t eat ever again”

“Why are you this heartless” sitting down back just in time the waitress brought in their food with also her number on a piece of paper”

She dipped the spoon immediately inside the food and start eating

 His phone rang and he stood up to pick it, after five minutes he came back “our flight have to be postponed till tomorrow morning”

She drinks her wine not replying to him and continue to eat her food, after eating, she stood “I will be waiting for you inside the car” she left him without hearing his response.

Entering the car, she let the tears fall, she couldn’t believe what was going on in her life, she saw him coming and she quickly cleans her eyes, that was when she saw that the waitress was with him and they were even holding each other. She got down from the car “Ryan, why can't you show me some respect, we just got married”

He also ignored her and face the waitress “baby, let's go” facing veronica “you can seat with the driver in the front seat”

He opened the door for the lady and he was about to enter when veronica pulled him back “Ryan”

He slapped her hard across the face “do not touch me princess and entered the goddamn car or so help me God on what am going to do you”

She holds her stinging cheeks and does as she was told as the driver drives them down to his place and she couldn’t bear the sound they were making in the car, this was the reason she left the college in the first place, she couldn’t bear the sight of him with other ladies.

 She alighted from the car but she has to wait for him to open the house door “baby, is this bitch following us inside” the waitress said

Veronica was shocked when Ryan slapped her twice on her face “ she might be a bitch but she is my bitch and my wife, you have overstayed, you can now go”

“am sorry Ryan”

“it's Mr. Walker to you from now and if you will excuse me, it's my honeymoon night” he gave his security sign to throw her out and walk up to open the door to his house. Veronica entered and to her much belief, the place looks stunning

“ I think we should start making my babies from tonight” walking closer to her

“do you think am going to let you touch me, then you are dreaming”

He laughed “can you resist my touch” getting to her and pulling her closer to himself, he placed his lips on her neck and place a soft kiss on it “I know you want me, you can ask me now, am your husband”

Her knees went numb at his touch and she nearly gives in until she remembers that he kissed the waitress “I don’t want you, I hate you” she saw the hint of hurt in his eyes but it was gone quick “where is my room”

“you can follow me to our room where we will be spending our last night in America”

“can't I have my room”

“you are my wife and the early you start acting like one the better” walking away but stopped when she did not follow him “I don’t have all day princess, come to bed”

She signed as she follows him cause she doesn’t have a choice, the Ryan she now knows is a heartless beast. They got inside and that was when she noticed she have nothing to change into, he did not even allow her to pack her clothes

“you can change into my shirt tonight,” he said as if he could read her thought

“thanks”

Touching her cheek “you are now my wife, my stuff are all yours now and you don’t have to thank me”

She bit down on her lips as she keeps looking at his and all she could remember was the first kiss she had with him the first time in the storeroom before she saw him hugging the school slut Brittany

“fuck this right now, am gonna kiss you” that he placed his lips on her and kiss her hungrily.
