Chapter four

           Bryan saw what happened and he was very angry, he knows he has to think of something to separate them quickly, he also knows that she has not told Ryan what happened that day, if she did not tell him, its means he still has the opportunity to have her. He walked up to them because he couldn’t bear the sight of them again, he should be the one to be closed to her, why can’t she just pick him even after he confessed his feelings for her, why must it always be his brother that has the good things and not him “the water at the pool is cool, why don’t you join us and your wife can come to enjoy it too”

   She could see the mischief in his eyes but there is nothing she could do about it because Ryan will not believe her; they got to the poolside but she insists she is not swimming as she went to the seat beside Stephanie.

   She watched the twins play in the pool with their dad as they laugh about what Ryan said, she has always imagined her life being his wife but not this way, should she tell him about his brother and will he believe her or not, I guess she has to give it a try before she can know

“Princess” she was jerked back from her thought and answered “yes” she did not even notice they already get out of the water

“What are you thinking about, have called your name like five times now?”

“Am sorry, I think I got carried away, the weather here is lovely” she stood up to meet his height “are you guys not swimming again”

“Yes, I need to get to the office now; there is an emergency I will come get you later at night” 

 “Are you sure everything is fine, I can follow you”

 He smirked “are you missing me already” kissing her forehead “anyway, it’s nothing I can’t handle and I will be back before you know it, my brother will keep your company”

   Her heart did some acceleration, she doesn’t want to face Bryan yet “your driver can go drop me at your place”

 “Our place princess and am not leaving you alone with my driver and bodyguards”

“Where are the others?” she asked 

“My parents went to rest and I think Stephanie went to get ready for her date tonight”

  “Okay,” she said with some uncertainty

She hugged him and he placed a kiss on her neck and she watches him go, that was when she noticed that he was already dressed in a well-ironed suit.

“Now, we are alone dear,” Bryan said walking up to her

“I think I will go inside now” getting away from him in haste

“Not so fast babe, I have missed you or you don’t miss me” grabbing her from behind

”Let me go, Bryan, am your brother wife now”

“That will never stop me from having you, I can promise you that”

“Bryan, leave her alone now,” Stephanie said, she has seen the drama from her room window “can’t you accept the fact she is your brother wife now”

“No, because she was meant to be mine and must you appear every time am with her” getting irritated and left in annoyance

Veronica was glad that Stephanie was here to save her from him again cause she won’t have imagined what will happen if she has not come “ thank you very much” facing her now

“You are welcome and don’t mind him, I don’t know what came over him, you need to tell Ryan or I will have to”

 “I will go prepare for your date Stephanie”

“Let’s go to my room, Ryan should be back before my guy arrives”

“Okay”

 In the evening, Ryan came to get her as promise and they went to their new home, the place was so beautiful like exactly how she wanted her dream home to be

   “Am glad you like this place”

The doorbell rang “are you expecting someone”

   “Yes princess,” he said with a smiling face as he went to open the door “come in my dear”

 Veronica was stunned he brought a slut to their home, this was way too much and she couldn’t take it again “what is the meaning of this Ryan and what is this trash doing here”

 “Mind your words lady, I will not have you disrespect my guest and you can sleep in the guest room except you want to join us of course” he pulled the lady with him into the bedroom 

   She sat on the floor and started crying, her eyes caught sight of the envelope Ryan has given her on the plane, she picks it up tearing the wrapper into shred and bringing out the pieces of paper inside 

Dear Veronica,

      We are sorry to inform you that nothing was wrong with your brother but we are seriously in huge debt and when Ryan came up with his offer, we couldn’t reject it and we have already sold the house and we will soon move out of it, we don’t want you to come looking for us in it and don’t bother calling our number cause we already change it.

     Take care of your husband and don’t think about divorcing him because it’s in the agreement that you are not allowed to do so, don’t bother about us, we are fine

     She picked up her phone, she still remembers Tess number off the head and she inputs the number and dialed it, after the second ring, she picks up

“Are they my parent Tess?” she cried into the phone

“Calm down and tell me what happened, is Ryan maltreating you”

“My parent sold me to him, I can’t even divorce him”

“Am sorry to hear this Veronica”

She heard a voice in the background and she knows it was Jeff “Veronica, what’s wrong, you just left here yesterday, do you want me to come”

 “You can’t Jeff, he will destroy you”

“I don’t care, I know you as a cheering person and not this sorrowful person”

“I will be fine really; I just need something to talk to, sorry for waking you guys up”

“We will always be there for you dear, always call on us if you need anything,” Tess said collecting the phone back from Jeff

“I will, good night”

“Good night and make sure you get some sleep” 

She ended the call and threw it on the floor, she went into the kitchen, she opens one of the drawers and saw a drink, she opened the fridge to get some ice and pour herself drink sitting on the kitchen cabinet. He should have just killed her instead of making her suffer this way and why will her parent do this to her, they hurt her more than Ryan did cause they were meant to protect her as all parents will do. She almost finished the bottle when she fell asleep.

   The sound of the door opening wakes her up from her sleep and she quickly stood up from the floor she has fallen asleep on

“I thought I told you to sleep in the guest room” he screamed at her

“Why do care about where I sleep” she shouted back at him 

 “Cause you are my wife”

“I was forced to be your wife, I was not offered any choice”

“You are, you should have just let your brother die but even with that I will have still kidnapped you and make you my wife”

She was dumbfounded “you are heartless Ryan”

“You are warming my bed tonight wife, be ready”

She screamed at him “I will never let you touch me again”

   He pulled her hair and moves her closer to him “listen, woman, you don’t choose to dictate for me, tonight, I will have you and make my seed flow right into your womb and you will carry my heir”

“I will never carry your heir” struggling herself free from him

He chuckled and smile “we both know you can’t resist my touch and I will keep on taking that advantage to keep planting my seed in you till you get pregnant”

“Screw you Ryan”

“You will tonight babe” he winked and walked away

She watched him walked away and she stood up, she a mess right now, the maid must not meet her like this, she carried herself to her supposed matrimonial room where Ryan have fuck the slut last night, she could not stay long in the room cause it disgusts her lot, she packed some few clothes and go to the guest room she was asked to sleep.

 The guest room was nothing compared to her room at home, it was furnished and well equipped, she is never leaving this room, she thought to herself. She quickly enters the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash before dressing up in a simple gown.
