Inside the room, next to each other, stands two massage tables. Ally looks at Benson and smiles. Benson seems to be impressed with himself for putting a smile on Ally’s face.“The massage therapist should be here in the next minute. You can put on one of those robes.” Benson tells her, pointing to fluffy white robes that hangs on hooks on the walls.Ally walks to the robes and takes one off the hook. She turns and sees a little dressing room on the other side of the room. Ally walks to it and pulls the curtain closed behind her. She takes her clothes off, looking at her little tummy in the mirror. She puts the robe on and opens the curtain again, leaving her clothes in the dressing room. She is a little surprised when she finds that Benson has also undressed and is also wearing a fluffy white robe, like hers. She is again surprised to see two massage therapists in the room. The two women are professionally dressed. They are standing next to the two massage beds, waiting for Ally and B
Ally gets out of the hot tub and wraps the towel around her body. She goes back to the massage room to get dressed. When she enters the room, there is no sign of any massage therapist being there that day. She gets dressed and heads back to her room. The smell of paint is feint and she can get into bed and fall asleep. She wakes to the sun setting. Ally cannot find the strength to get out of bed again. Her mood is low and she has no energy. She cannot think how she can stay in this house for very much longer.Benson comes into the room and gives her a questioning look.“Are you okay?” he asks Ally. The sound of his voice indicates that he is not really interested.“My legs are sore. I cannot really walk much.” Allie lies.Benson is suddenly more interested. He comes over to the bed and sits on his side.“Do I need to call a doctor.” He asks Ally. Ally only stares at the roof above the bed. She does not answer. She does not really feel like talking to him.Benson gets up and leaves the
Ally is very silent in the car on the way to the facility. Benson is also refusing to talk to her, which she appreciates right now. He got up this morning and got dressed. He told her that they will leave in thirty minutes and left the room. Ally got dressed quickly and waited for him in front of the main entrance when she was done.Benson came and they walked to the car where he then opened the door for her and let her get inside. Ally took her seat and sat back, leaning her head against the head rest and closing her eyes. She hoped that if her eyes were closed, that Benson would leave her alone. He did.At the facility, a nurse comes out with a wheelchair. Ally is helped into the wheelchair and the nurse pushes her into the facility. Ally knows that there is nothing wrong with her legs. She will need to fake it now so she will be able to return daily for more sessions until it is the right time for Ronald to take her away.As the nurse pushes her towards the scanner room, they pass
After all the doctors did what they wanted to do, Ally finds herself waiting in the recovery room in the pathology wing. She closes her eyes and tries to rest a bit. She has been for a lot of tests today. They took blood to do bloodwork. She has seen the gynaecologist again who did another check up on her pregnancy and she also went for every single scan that is safe for the babies. For some scans, she had to put a cover over her abdomen to protect the babies.Ronald comes into the room and crouches in front of her.“Okay, we are taking you today. Everyone is in the boardroom, reporting to your husband right now. It is best if we just take you right now.” Ronald tells her in an urgent tone. Ally has no idea where he is taking her but since he is not taking her home, she is willing to go with him.Ronald quickly wheels Ally out a back door and helps her into his car. He leaves the wheelchair there and speeds out of the facility grounds. Ally is very nervous and cannot help looking over
Ally stands by the window and watches as Alexa pulls out of the underground parking and into the traffic. She drives away and Ally suddenly starts to feel nervous about the situation she finds herself in.“He is going to be so angry when he finds me.” Ally mutters.“We will have to make sure that he does not find you.” Ronald says.Ally turns around and looks at Ronald. He is sitting on the sofa. He looks tired as hell. Ally feels guilty for what he took on when he decided to save her.“Do you mind telling me what you know?” Ally asks Ronald.“Tell me what you have figured out so far.” Ronald tells her.“I have gathered that he hates that I am pregnant. He refuses to look at me and whenever the babies are mentioned, he gets really angry.” Ally tells him.“That is because he is not the father of those babies.” Ronald says. He looks at Ally and she walks over to where he is sitting. She takes a seat in one of the single chairs that form part of the little sitting area.“I have gathered
“Eric knows about Megan having surgery to look like me?” Ally asks.“Well, no.” Ronald tells her. “I have also developed trust issues and I do not know who to talk to about what. I only told Eric where to find you and he will come to get you tomorrow morning. That will be the safest place for you. Benson will not search for you publicly. He will not be able to put your face and name onto any media. The world knows who you are. The world knows who Eric is and also that the two of you are married. If he puts out posters or have an interview on television, someone is sure to confront him on the misinformation. You are not Mrs Ash. You have never been Mrs Ash.” Ronald tells her. He looks really tired. He takes a few more sips of his drink and Ally takes a moment to process the information.Eric is coming to get her tomorrow. How is she going to tell the man she is married to that she was unfaithful to him while she had memory loss. Will he be able to forgive her. Maybe it is best if she j
“I have lived my whole life in anonymity. If I come out now and tell them who I am, I will lose that forever. I will suddenly be burdened with running places and being forced to make executive decisions. I will lose the life I have now where I have the freedom to go about my day like any other normal person.” Ronald tells her.“I understand.” Ally tells him. “You look tired.” She ads when she sees his eyes falling closed and fluttering open.“I am exhausted.” He tells her. “I think it is time we call it a night. I am in the room next door. You are welcome to knock at any time. Please do not worry about anything. I am here for you.” Ronald says as he gets up and takes a few steps towards the door. “And try to get some sleep, will you?”“I will. Thank you for all that you have done to get me out of that house. Thank you for caring so much that you are willing to help a complete stranger.” Ally tells him honestly.“You would have done the same.” Ronald says. “It’s a pleasure.” Ronald tur
Ally waits patiently. Ronald should come back any moment to tell her that Eric is here. She never locked the door again when she closed it. Hopefully Ronald will just come in and see Benson and he will be able to do something about this situation.Ally closes her eyes and listens for any sounds coming from the hallway. Nothing.“Do you know what is going to happen now?” Benson asks her.“How could I?” Ally opens her eyes and looks at Benson. If any of the hatred she feels towards him is visible in her eyes, he should see it without effort. “It is not like I am in control of my own life. You have been making decisions on my behalf for quite some time now.”Benson glares at Ally.“That attitude will get you nowhere.” He tells her.“I don’t think any kind of attitude will get me anywhere. I will forever be your prisoner. Kept against my will in a place that is not my home. That is what you want. What I want does not matter.” Ally says, the hatred evident in her tone.“If that is how you
