FEDORA’S POV

I awoke to a throbbing ache at the back of my skull, and my limbs felt tightly constricted. Blinking against the haze, I struggled to open my eyes, only to find the effort met with resistance. The dull throb in my head intensified as I winced, attempting to make sense of my surroundings.

A pungent, foul stench hung heavily in the air, assaulting my senses. The realization struck me like a bolt of lightning—I was bound to something rigid, imprisoned within this grim atmosphere. I fought through the haze and managed to pry my eyes open, taking in the scene around me. I was huddled in a corner, accompanied by fellow shelter members.
